Xenonion news needs a DLC of its own

One thing I miss from other space civ games, is a galactic news network talking about the outbreak of war between powers, a big event, a crisis, etc... imagine if xenonion news would give you a short video about important events, replacing some of the text popups

Instead of worthless toasts, we could have a worthless but funny news scroll along the bottom of the screen.

I do miss MOO2's GNN. Civ 2's advisors added a good bit of life too.

Maybe accompanied by a little picture-in-picture alien newsreader animation in the corner? I would not mind all the useless diplomatic notifications if they were presented this way. They're already written for it: "It seems they desire closer relations" etc.

One of my favorite RTS games was Earth 2150 where little videos would play as the game progresses and you unlock techs.

Hell I feel like with AI processing maybe some day those videos could be literally generated uniquely on the fly.

Personally I'd be happy with just a cast of minimally-animated, empire-appropriate species portraits against a thematic background. Maybe a brief fly-by of your empire's shipset. I don't need a live-action bulletin. The more generic, the more realistic the prospect (we can dream, okay?).
