So it looks like I'm not alone, pre-order a game, download and install and it doesn't work?

Look folks, I'm a developer myself, I understand bugs happen but according to the forums I need to edit keybind files and do a bunch of other crap to get a game to run? If this was still 1989 I would understand but that's not acceptable any more.

Really amateur, a game-stopping bug before I ever see the launch page?

To be honest, Dwarf Fortress had a better launch than this, and it was free and developed by one guy and his brother. Severely dissapointed. I am most likely not going to buy any games from Paradox ever again, I already have Mount and Blade, but this sort of screw up is stupid.

This is not a Paradox game, Paradox is merely the publisher, so there really is no point in blaming them. Nitro Games is the developing company, and a very small one as well.

The publisher is still responsible for basic quality control of their own products to make sure that they don't release a game thats full of bugs and has several problems. The fact that they use DRM is not helping them in my opinion.

I admit, Nitro made quite a few mistakes. Including not noticing these bugs in playtesting or development, but also the lack of support for most bugs on this forum. (I mean we don't even have a Technical Support sub-forum for Morts sake!)
