I feel the need to post this, because I'm curious what other people have experienced. After playing several games, I notice that there are many people who are just incompetent at their job: I was getting frustrated, because finding someone to be a proper educator (or so I thought) who was good at the job to raise my offspring became a chore. That being said, I always expect there to be runs of bad luck: It's CK2 after all.

Then I find out that learning influences how well your education trait will be, and it all made sense. Most people just have a poor learning stat -- I find the highest mine will get when I'm lucky is around 10-12 if they aren't a priest: That's assuming they're quick and very capable in general, and my wards will usually end up with half that by the time they're 15. This results in a lot of kids who are just incompetent (and a few who are just a step above that).

Anyone else have a better experience than this? Worse? The same? Given my experiences, I feel making it so that picking an education might be better suited to providing a boost in learning (0/+1/+2/+3) and letting his or her educator decide the path would make a better system.
