why shouldn't they? Only Christians are forbidden from royal marrying other religious groups

inviting someone to follow zoroatrianism faith does not give age of reformation bonus (convert nation)

Why should it? The objective is to force convert a nation, so I think it makes sense that voluntary conversions don't count
