Greetings Commanders,

We would like to let you know that our team is working hard to address some issues you have flagged with the Below & Beyond expansion and free content update.

You can expect the first hotfix to come out on Monday, September 13th, simultaneously on all platforms. It’s going to address the problem with disappearing pipes and cables, and change the Asteroid Lander increment from 5 to 1, among other fixes and tweaks.

We are also trying to help out players who are struggling with continuing their game on the pre-patch save files. While the hotfix should fix some of the more persistent issues on the old save files, for the best experience we recommend starting a new save file.

Finally, we would like to thank all the players for your patience, understanding, and the time you spent on sending the feedback and reporting the bugs to us.

This is not the last time you’ll hear from us on this topic. We are fully committed to improving your experience with the game and giving you the polished content you deserve. We will keep you informed on our progress.

Hey @Aiwyth
(Birth restriction filter not working)

Today I started a new game and brought in 12 colonists and then another 12 colonists after founder stage was past.

Once the fist child was birth I locked the domes to restrict births.

After playing a little longer I was able to see children appearing in the game despite not bringing in new colonists other that the 24 that came in on rockets.
Meaning the glitch is repeating on new games.

Also the glitch @shanlambertidst above was mentioning about seniors ignoring filters is another one I've experience.

Are you guys working on a fix for the drones that get stuck in the asteroid lander?

FIX FOR BREEDING ISSUES

Hey @Vukowski and anyone else who has the breeding problems in the game.

I just tested putting the restrictions for births on the setting where it stops when full.

This feature works and can control population growths by using this and limiting available space for residency in you colony.

It's a temporary fix.

Is it by design that (Advanced) Stirling Generator prefabs cannot be brought onto Asteroids, or is it a flaw? If the latter, I'm hoping that it can be patched...

Also when there are prefabs that are not available to load on Landers, the UI panel should say so and not cause trouble trying to unload drones and then get stuck.

I've also been having some issues with the Marsvision radio pack - it makes it so that shuttle hubs are not able to be built, even after having researched them. When I disable the DLC, I can't load my save because "a necessary DLC is missing" seems a little ridiculous for a song pack DLC.

The issue with the filter is being looked into, but unfortunately, I don't have confirmation that it will be included in the patch on Monday just yet. We're still finalizing the patch notes.

This list will get updated with the first hotfix, so hopefully, it will help players understand what issues we're already working on. I'm afraid we won't be able to go as far as adding exact dates when certain issues will get fixed, but we will try to communicate when you can expect more patches and what we're focusing on improving as much as possible.
I definitely hope it's not TOO long, I really just wanna start playing again but the bugs that are not planned on being fixed in the next patch are still pretty game breaking.
I just wanna play the functional game I had until a few days ago.

seeing the number of bug reports and the fact that a hotfix often only aims to fix the most pressing bugs I think the not game breaking bugs will be fixed later. soooo... see you in a month or two.

I hope they have updated the bug referring to disaster rates. I've started two new playthroughs, one after a re-install. No Dust Storms, Cold waves or meteor showers. Only dust devils and cave-ins.. Unplayable

Edit - level 3 or max on the map

The last quick update broke my saved games. A discontinued library used by Choggi, "who is a GREAT Modder", broke many parts of my saved game. AOK, because I will start a new game tonight if I can download the latest Steam patch for Surviving Mars. Will let the forum know and report back. Good luck to all in turning Mars GREEN!
