Since Fate of Iberia contains no fixes, I am cancelling the auto update download each time it starts. I have check for updates turned off on my PS5 but I think it is still trying to download since I launched the game. Anyway so I am manually cancelling the download. I would rather play with the bugs I know and am used to than have more bugs.

Why is there no title customization with the ability to change the coat of arms and map color in the middle of the game instead of only once in character customization which was supposed to be added in Royal Court as it was released that way on PC?

I'm not sure really what was supposed to happen with this DLC. I started a new game. Chose the Fate of Iberia character from Galicia, conquered all of Spain, and so far I've seen no interactions no struggle screens, nothing 4 lifetimes. nothing. It looks like there is a new view option for participation in this non existent struggle. What was supposed to occur? Where is the actual interaction on this thing for the PS5? Basically it was a few new starting characters, and some clothes?

Buenas tardes, tengo un problema con el juego, al iniciar el juego no me sale el mensaje del concurso de ibéricos, ¿por qué puede ser? gracias
Good afternoon, I have a problem with the game, when I start the game I don't get the message about the Iberian contest, why could it be? thank you
In ps5

Cool. About time, actually... past due for a year.

Anyway. After downloading and hoping beyond hope that the "Missing Cities and Temples" graphic bug would be fixed.... it wasn't.

Do you know how hilariously bad it is for a MAP GAME to have a broken and ugly map where the features don't load properly? And don't tell me to delete the game and clear the cache then redownload. I tried that already months and months ago. It's a YOU problem, not a me problem.

Fire Lab42 and hire the studio that ported Rimworld to console. I can attest that they are much better.

This is my favorite game dispite all it's issues, so I really wish I could enjoy it. Problem is... I can't. And this game is my red-line in the sand AND the hill I will die on. I will not be spending anymore money on Paradox games and I will spread the news about how poorly console is supported.

Fate of Iberia itself seems to be working quite well for me although, I noticed city holdings are invisible especially around Iberia. Main menu news feed is empty, many hair styles and clothing are clipping. Petition liege button that didn’t work previously is now gone and the only way to do it is through decisions tab. Frequently getting my ui locked due to a glitched screen that’s likely invisible so I can’t do anything and need to restart my game.

Is there any plan on releasing Garments of The Holy Roman Empire to those who didn’t get it from preordering? I believe it was made available to PC players with the Fate of Iberia update.

There are bugs that haven't been fixed yet and now in the new update new bugs have appeared.

The hair of the characters, being in a kingdom you cannot attack more than 3 times through acusus beli your fellow vassals of the kingdom unless you die and your main heir occupies the throne and the same thing happens again.

You can't create the Ultramarine Empire.

Churches and cities don't show up

It's a month now since the release of latest DLC. Very silent month I must say. When we can expect first, post release patch? Or the DLC (delayed due to bugs) and the game is so perfect, there is nothing to fix?

Hello all,

My name is Rachel, and I am the Associate Producer for the Stellaris Console Porting Project at Behavior. We are the team that brought you Toxoids, and we are now scaling up the team to tackle the First Contact and Galactic Paragons DLC’s and all the free updates between 3.5 and 3.9. This is quite the challenge, and we wanted to give the community some insight on what is needed for this to be done.

This is our first Dev Diary, and we wanted to set some pillars on how they are going to happen going forward. The Dev Diaries will happen at semi-regular intervals, but will mostly align with our internal milestone deliverables. We will work hard to give you all a peek behind the scenes, and let you see how the project is progressing. We might show screenshots of the new UI we are testing, how we are implementing new features to work on a controller, or discuss the limitations of working on a closed system versus an open platform like the PC.

So what have we delivered this time around?

The main tasks we have been focusing between the delivery of Toxoids and now planning and investigating the new content. We have also been onboarding new people to the project.
We have been going through the game and looking at all the changes done between 3.5 and 3.9 and making sure to document this as work that needs to be done when we start building the console part of it. This is especially important if there is a new UI or player options. We are also going back and checking all the new assets to make sure that we have resolutions that are required for the console port.

Example:

Yeah, this might be difficult to bring over

We are also setting up the pipeline for builds, so we can produce new builds at a regular pace for testing and development.

What is the current status of the 3.9 build?

Currently, the changes from 3.5 -> 3.9 have been merged into our Console Edition build. That is to say, all the PC code is there. Now that all the PC code is there, the next steps will be to implement the UI from 3.9 and make all the new features and buttons work correctly in Console code. We are currently in the process of disabling features and UI until we can get the game to load to the main menu on both platforms, so we can then begin implementing and turning the new features on.

So what is next?

In the upcoming dev logs we will start showing some more examples of things that we are doing. We will try to avoid being too ‘inside baseball’ on the game production aspect of it, but our hope is that we can share more of the actual parts of the process needed to get Stellaris to run on a console.

We’re excited to be working on the game and look forward to bringing you more updates as time goes on!
Why can’t you even give us a single update? How screwed is this port?

It's almost two months since. No post release patch, no announcements, zero communication whatsoever. I think it's fair to ask:

Is the game abandoned?

We have an update slated for the near future, but unfortunately I don't have an ETA or changelog to share from it at this time. We'll post more information as soon as we have it.

Could you tell us what do you mean by "near future"?
For real, it’d be nice to get some form of actual information. Not trying to be rude or anything of the sort, but the situation with this port has been completely unacceptable. Pdx should be ashamed taking money for this broken product, all while they shove the upcoming chapter we have no access to down our throats while ignoring every complaint we have with a game we CANT play.

Then even better you have Lab42 who seemingly does nothing but pat themselves on the back, tell us to talk to Pdx, only to be ignored outright.

Personally, I feel more than justified in being frustrated. It’s not even clear that anyone is working on this beyond a vague, ambiguous update. (Which I do appreciate, but it’s just not enough when the two companies that work on this game/port post about upcoming dlcs/projects while ignoring an entire community with a busted port of a game they desperately want to enjoy.)

I wish they'd have a group like Tantalus port and update CK for console. I don't know if it is that simple, of course, but it would definitely be better.

I feel that, completely. It’s a shame because ck3 is absolutely amazing, but it’s all for nothing on console due to Lab42’s incompetence.

Honestly, even though I would love some miracle like Lab42 being replaced, I just want an update about what they’re doing to fix it. Nothing too crazy, I think. We’ve been left in the dark for way too long.

In all likelihood, lab42 is locked into a contract through a certain point of porting (if not having the rights to the port in entirety). If i had to guess its the end of chapter 2, but i am purely speculating.
The odds of replacing them at this point are slim to none, else paradox would have done it already. I can’t imagine paradox staff speak highly of the port privately. Their hands may just be tied legally

Wish lab42 would get off their asses and fix these damn crashes so we can play the damn game. We love your games but damn stop having 3rd party companies porting your console games you obviously cannot rely on them Paradox.

Unfortunately, you’re more than likely right. Still, it doesn’t excuse the total lack of any communication from both of them.

Lab42 maintains they can’t say anything about the game and directs us to pdx, but then pdx barely even acknowledges it exists. Are these two companies even communicating? Maybe pdx refuses to comment because at this point they don’t even know what’s going on, lmao.

What a shame, honestly.
