Unfortunately, you’re more than likely right. Still, it doesn’t excuse the total lack of any communication from both of them.

Lab42 maintains they can’t say anything about the game and directs us to pdx, but then pdx barely even acknowledges it exists. Are these two companies even communicating? Maybe pdx refuses to comment because at this point they don’t even know what’s going on, lmao.

What a shame, honestly.
The contract probably prevents lab42 from directly communicating regarding the game, leaving it to paradox staff to relay. Paradox staff are probably embarrassed privately at the state of the game and therefore ignore commenting unless necessary.
In all likelihood there was an update “soon” until they realized there were multiple more game breaking bugs or something. Instead of explaining it would be delayed, they just went quiet.

I can understand Lab42, but pdx not communicating doesn’t help anyone. I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s willing to wait for this to be fixed and be patient, but just keep us updated. It shouldn’t be this hard. Lmao

There is no reason to think they're still working on anything related to the game. It looks like it was abandoned after delivering what they were obliged to deliver to chapter 1 buyers and that's it.

This exactly. It’s the least they can do now. Cyberpunk 2077, they admitted it wasn’t what they envisioned and tried a lot to make it better
I don’t understand why pdx has to act like we’re going to be mad if they admit the port is a mess. We all already know. Pretty sure that’s clear at this point. Not even mad that it’s a mess, just mad that we get the silent treatment.

What, is Lab42 gonna be sad if pdx says mean things about their port? Lmao

It’s okay to say we missed the mark, so long as they are transparent about how they are going to make it right. I wish they would break radio silence at paradox and state it remains like this going forward or hey we hear you and have stuff (fixes, chapter 2 and beyond etc) in the works. Unsure why they cannot admit maybe the port is more costly than they thought and for whatever reason it’s taking longer than they thought to either have lab continue or swap for a new partnership

It’s baffling to see the differences between how pc and console bugs are handled, pc just got an update to fix similar problems with the new dlc a small amount of time after being reported and all console gets is a rare “we will inform you soon” which has been occurring periodically over the last 9 months.

Nothing baffling to me. They know how to fix things on PC.

That’s a fair point honestly, none the less it doesn’t excuse their lack of communication and transparency. Especially when they can be engaged with console stellaris community.
Just posted in another thread with a similar thought, but I don't know if we can entirely blame pdx. We can absolutely blame them for choosing the most incompetent company ever for the port, but I feel like pdx doesn't communicate about console bc they genuinely can't. As in, they probably have no idea what Lab42 is doing, bc Lab42 doesn't know what Lab42 is doing.

Who knows at this point though, it could be any reason.

This is what they said in a dev dairy prior to the northern lords release, obviously yes it’s an empty statement but I mean you message lab42 and you get pretty much the same response unfortunately. Ck3 on console may be in development with lab42 (as far we know) it’s still a paradox game and it’s their responsibility same as the recent GTA “remasters” are still rockstars responsibility, it just shows a real lack of care and respect to both the games and consumers.

Oh yeah I'm not excusing anything. I'm never buying a paradox game again, despite ck3's ability to perfectly massage my brain. It's why I get so frustrated with the crashes, I love the game play.

I tried doing a bug thread, and then they dropped updates that didn't fix known bugs and actively made the game worse. I've since had plenty of posts deleted and received forum suspensions. They definitely waited out my energy to try and effect change. So I'll do the only thing I can: actively tell people I know to stay away from their products, and not spend any money on them myself.

“…but we want to improve this moving forward” bruh why do they have to say things and then never follow through lmao

It’s like when they say how they’re going to close the gap between pc and console dlc, like no you’re not lmao Lab42 can’t even fix a bug on the main menu. I promise you they’re never going to catch up. Just stop saying it at this point - it’s nothing more than a joke

Wait. You for real? That’s incredibly messed up.

Pdx will literally do anything but make Lab42 do their job…

Also on the “never buying another pdx game again, unless ck3 is dealt with” train

Eh, I violated their forum rules one way or another. Pretty soft if you ask me, especially when it seems the only time they interact with this community is dropping the ban hammer. Their forum, their rules though. Whatever.

This is why I also monitor the ck3 console sub reddit. Their rep responds more often there anyway.

Fair. Same here though - pretty much trying to get an update any way I can. Probably also just helps to know I'm not the only one dying for ck3 to be fixed... sadly lmao
