Well that's a surprise.
Super psyched to finally find out what the minimum required legal definition of a dlc is!

Only had to wait 4 years!
Man, Paradox have been nothing but an embarassment since the pandemic.
I'm inclined to go easy on them in this case. Romero Games openly said "F*** this s*** I'm out." and took off.

I can't imagine it's easy to find new devs when the ENTIRE DEVELOPMENT TEAM decides they don't wanna work anymore.

Strange that there's nothing on the Steam page about this.

Feels like an April's Fools. Next week launch after 4 years of silence... insane.

Couldn't be more glad that we are finally recieving this expansion we so deserve, but the question still lingers — where did Romero go? They can't just abandon the project and run off without saying a word, even for them they would have a chance of repairing their reputation by releasing a statement.
Quite humorous when the only things they have done since the last DLC is put DLC 2 off-sale, delist it, and quietly close off every alternative forum for EoS, while this new dev got their 4 year endeavor done in 8 months, having to completely fix all the spaghetti Romero left behind.

Apparently they did discuss it in the Empire of Sin discord some time ago.

They openly mocked and insulted anyone who still expected DLC 2 to happen. And today, not only is the Empire of Sin discord shut down, but mentioning it on the main Romero Games discord is an insta-ban. So... they openly do not care and are not even trying to salvage their reputation.

Don't quote me on any of this, though. To be honest, I've never been on any of the mentioned discords. This is all stuff I heard second-hand.

Now we just have to hope this is a legitimate DLC and not just checking a box to justify preselling this four years ago.

The lack of promotion/early teaser/patch notes has me concerned, but I have reinstalled the game in anticipation of tomorrow. Here's hoping it's something actually worth the money and time we've spent on it.
