What does it mean that Contry will NOT participate in Country's defensive wars? Could this be formulated in a more understandable way? I don't understand anything at all.
Subject/Overlord; there's a bug regarding it, which we are in the process of fixing.

Why are some French vassals in a different shade of blue in the diplomatic map?
Subjects of subjects now have a different coloring, as overlord of overlord. Also, overlords and subjects now have different coloring:

Can you please pay attention to my posts and, if I'm wrong, provide counterarguments? If I'm bothering you, please write to me or use the "with respect, I disagree" symbol. I just want the game to be as historically accurate as possible...
We read all the posts, which include the threads that you posted, but we don't reply to unrelated TT or TF topics, as that only adds noise to them.

The UI is still incomplete, right? For people who are trying the game for the first time, even if the system is good, they'll be disappointed and critical if the UI isn't appealing
As usual, please consider all UI (...) WIP.

Will France have variant flags? I expect like the revolutionary one, as that was represented already in eu4, however I believe France like quite often switched between white and blue and the amount of flour de lis
Yes:

It says either have the treaty of nantes or have the situation last beyond 25 years or have over 50 stability and 90 religious unity. Having nantes is doesn't require anything else to end it
Hmm, there might be a bug there, we'll investigate it.

@Pavía in 1337 Anjou was still a county and it was only elevated to a duchy in 1360

Also the Count in 1337 was a member of house de Valois who will one day become King John II of France therefore it makes more sense to use one of the coas of the Valois-Anjou branch as standard flag of the tag rather than use the coa Capet-Anjou branch(even if it was adopted only after the elevation to Duchy)

The post 1470 is better imo since the first one could be used for a County of Valois tag
Just fixed the country rank, good call, thanks.

Who's the overlord of Maine then? In 1337 it was still ruled by King Philip himslef since he was Count before becoming King it would make more sense if it was a direct subject(fief) of France
The ruler is John, son of King Philip VI, as he was bestowed with that title in 1332, along with Normandy and Maine; all these 3 territories are subjects (appanages) of France.
