Is there an ETA on the final 1.3 patch?

I assume the vast majority of the people are working on HOI 3 now, but a hint would be nice.

The HOI2 Armageddon 1.3 patch is being done by the HOI2 Arma Patch Project and not by Paradox.

As Manager of said project I can honestly say (as i said 10 posts earlier) not for a while.

Just for information as I didn't manage to read all the thread pages...

is there the possibility with this patch or future patches to play Armageddon with wide screen resolution (mine is 1280x800) apart from using external "exe hack wizard" utilities?

and of course Vista compatibility!

There are 2 questions here... i will answer both.

1. Resolution changes... No we have specifically been told that we cannot do this.

2. Vista Compatibility... what incompatibility is there? It works just fine in Vista... If you are having troubles installing/configuring etc HOI2 Arma on a Vista Machine please send me a private message and I will do my best to get it to run on your Vista machine.

I have thought that the instabilities I have experienced with a wide screen configurating programme were also becasue of Vista operating system...

Never had problems with vanilla version of Armageddon under Vista.

It's very important, that if you use the screen resolution 'hack' lower the color depth (from HIGH to LOW - don't know the figures in bits). Otherwise you'll have instability issues.

And now again a potencial minor issue: I think the movement (especially for attacks) progress indicator (the red arrow) is not working correctly. At the beginning it doesn't shows any progress (althouth some time allready moved), then is showes 50% few hours before the ETA. This behavior is strange for me. Can the Patch Team check this?

Hi.
I think that the answer will be negative, nevertheless, just to ask: can be set that aircrafts repair at local midnight instead that repairing at 00.00 GMT? or if that is too cpu-intensive, can be set aircrafts to be repaired even if they are in flight (maybe not fighting) at 00.00 GMT, as in hoi3 1.1?

thanks

Is there any list of stil open bugs? I don't know any known problem (that is in the patching scope), so this Beta 2 could be actually handled (functionally) as THE final version, isn't it?

There will be a final version of the patch.

Currently there is no intention of changing the EXE file between the 1.3 Beta 2 patch and the final patch.

These are interesting things to look at but unfortunately we have run out of time to look at them for this patch.

I mean, from my (beta-tester) point of view, the quality of this patch is very high. What could be improved here?

The subs combat mechanics for example. At the moment they are useless.

In my last Italy game, Germany AND Soviet Union both had spend all their manpower in 1943, so troops hardly got reinforced, yet more units kept being build and build and build.

Germany also didn't really destroy any divisions, just pushed the soviets back, and was stopped outside the gate of Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad, unable to capture any.

I had a look through the changelog but didn't see any mention of it, so I'll ask instead:

In the old versions of HoI2 the AI for released/liberated nations didn't revert to their old build queue and just started spamming infantry (or at least I think so). Is this changed in 1.3 so they actually build what the country would if they hadn't been annexed.

So, for example, does an annexed + released USA spam infantry or make a combination of units like they would if they'd remained independent the entire time?
