I am looking for a good nation to play, anywhere in the world, to make a large land Empire. I don't really enjoy Europe (It's always same old same old) But I was wondering if there was any Indian, or Asian nations to play where there is good events for forging a land Empire? Which Indian nation to play? Possible to get good game with a African nation?

Perhaps you could try playing as Bengal.

In AGCEEP, the Uzbeks are fun to play as they can grab themselves a large empire (just watch out for Russia), as are the Qara Koyunlu (sp.?), where the challenge is to survive the Ottoman Empire, become the Safavid Empire, and again attempt to fight back against the higher-tech-level Ottoman hordes, as you expand in the east against the Uzbeks.

The timurids are definetely the best non-european nation that a player can get. Everyone hates them, and there are challenges everywhere - and an equally big potential for greatness.

If you do not like the timurids, maybe you can try playing as Xhosa.

fighting the hundred years war as england vs french ai is fun on agceep. France gets loads of free troops via event, and since your manpower isnt that big, it can be difficult (that is if you dont use anti-ai tactics to let it attrition its armies away on sieges).

Really? i always found the HYW pretty straightforward, just build a cav stack and use the Henry to kill everything :-/

I don't know it is has been mentioned but the Mughal Empire is pretty fun. Is probably one of the strongest noneuropean nation, and has a great deal of interesting events in AGCEEP, where it can even get to join the orthodox tech group!

Golden Horde is kind of fun too, if you can cope with frustrating low stability a lot of wrong culture/religion provinces and an expansive Russia who can't wait to destroy you :)

My personal favorite is vanilla Mamluks though! (-they suck in agceep-) You can expand in any direction and you have A LOT of free CB's against pretty much the entire muslim world! Just be prepared to do a lot of conversions

Then there's always China :D

As for India... I'd try Orissa =)

I would have to second the choice of the Mamluks (Vanilla).

They are Shiite, their provinces are mostly Sunni with a couple of Orthodox and one Catholic. Being Shiite gives you a decent negative tech hit.

The rest of the Moslem world is Sunni (except Oman), this gives you a CB on all those nations, I personally prefer to conquer and convert those nations to Shiite and let them convert their own provinces... later taking whatever Shiite provinces that come your way.

It makes for a decent challenge of a game...

Get the idea?

Mamluks are the Shiite!

again, for the sake of being interesting, i do not use all cav armies, ill leave using everything to achieve victory to mp

AGCEEP Austria... You start out as a minor(!), get involved in Hussite wars, only to later become an Empire spanning across the entire Europe, even world if you wish. Also AGCEEP Brandenburg, also a minor, with a mission to become powerful Germany...
Now for non-europeans, I always fancied Viyanyagar (or howerver it's spelled), MyMap Japan (Edo) and MyMap China for internal conflicts/civil wars...

Give yourself cores on the Indian peninsula with Mymap Delhi. Just copy/paste the known provinces at game start to national provinces. You can form Mughals later on, but first get the Lodi's take the subcontinent. Watch out for revolting Rajputans!

Just tried England with AGCEEP or whatever it is :D

Ouch.

I took France out, got an event which let me take them all. Ignored Brittany as my Ally- my first mistake. Got some bad events, Dauphine then became France and they persisted to wipe me out until all I held was Normandy and Calais, all by 1450! :(
