Hello, gentlemen. I don't know if this goes here, but here I go:

I'm reviewing some events and I always drive myself crazy by trying to localize the provinces that are affected in historical events. :(

For example "Chambers of Reunion" as France. Which cores are being added there? anyone's got an image, link or map/s where I can find them easier without having to track down in files?

#Chambers of Reunion#
event = {

id = 3127
random = no
country = FRA
name = "EVENTNAME3127"
desc = "EVENTHIST3127"
style = 3

date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1676 }
offset = 30
deathdate = { day = 1 month = january year = 1681 }

action_a ={ #Make the Claim#
name = "ACTIONNAME3127A"
command = { type = addcore which = 340 }
command = { type = addcore which = 344 }
command = { type = addcore which = 345 }
command = { type = addcore which = 374 }
command = { type = addcore which = 375 }
command = { type = addcore which = 377 }
command = { type = addcore which = 378 }
command = { type = addcore which = 379 }
command = { type = addcore which = 380 }
command = { type = addcore which = 387 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3172 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3030 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3198 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3522 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3510 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3680 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3611 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3684 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3676 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3663 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3664 }
command = { type = trigger which = 3662 }
}

action_b ={ #Let the matter fall#
name = "ACTIONNAME3127B"
command = { type = relation which = SPA value = 100 }
command = { type = relation which = HAB value = 100 }
command = { type = relation which = ENG value = 100 }
command = { type = relation which = HOL value = 100 }
command = { type = treasury value = 500}
}
}

Thanks in advance!

This is why we added real name of the provinces as comments for each involved line in AGCEEP events (Aegnor did it in 2006 with a database). There is also a tool made by MichaelM for building full HTML documentation with all the events of all the countries. This tool is used for events documentation available in AGCEEP website.

EDIT: you also have all id maps available here as a RAR archive.

I also ran it on the vanilla event files and posted the zipped results here, so you don't have to figure out how to run it (not that it's hard).

thank you gentlemen (Wreck and YodaMaster) my regards.

I've never played AGCEEP mod tough, but it seems many of you use it. Is it harder than vanilla? because I already find vanilla complex and unbelievably fun. Some of you should open a new thread telling newbies how to control merchants, colonists, explorers/conquistadors, troops (in a war) at the same time... And in addition, to look at the ledger and take care of diplomacy. Of course, without pausing and in a MP game :eek:o

Hope I see you all in a lovely EU2-MP game soon

AGCEEP is not really harder than vanilla: more events, more accurate setups for countries (number of countries, monarchs, leaders, cores, etc), more balance. Some people think this is too much especially for events and the mod is in fact more single player oriented but multiplayer should still be fun with this in mind.

Its impossible to play AGCEEP online. An historical setup means an unbalanced setup for players. These are 2 things that will always collide with each other.

And the amount of events do not help either. Perhaps even the leaders, although i do not really know about em.

Vanilla scenarios are also unbalanced if you don't choose equivalent countries, aren't they? But I understand, this is why I added "with this in mind", i.e. more roleplay.

AGCEEP vs Vanilla, another flamming discussion? :p

for those who don't know AGCEEP at all, could anyone post a list of changes? or a link where I can check it for myself, that could work fine as well. Thanks in advance, gentlemen

Check the AGCEEP website and the AGCEEP subforum. It is not possible to make a whole list of all the things they have changed, and even less possible to read that list (too long).

for those who don't know AGCEEP at all [...]
With FTG, I hope I won't see such sentence again. This is why the mod will be bundled with the game. ;)

And yes, everything is in my signature.

Ok i forgot to mention "if everyone chooses majors". No one actually plays minors these days (unless you are a sadomasochist, or the game isnt a normal one).

Just for your information, i hate Vanilla. I hate the map. You rarely saw me playing a game under such a map. So i really wonder where does the flamming part come into play, specially if i didnt say anything apart from the truth, and without insulting anyone.

And in case you didnt understand, i didnt say that Vanilla was better then AGCEEP - i was just saying AGCEEP wasnt designed for online purposes (most mods werent, but some mods are more balanced then others).

You didnt bother me, trust me.

Otherwise some _real_ ranting would have started. :D

Sorry if i exagerated a bit, though.
