Hi comrades.
I'm deeply sorry, but tomorrow I'll not be available for the game.
Ah, and for Sheltonious, do not think that I'm fleeing!

Carthago delenda est!:p

Thats fine, although your Rome might be smaller when you return next Monday, :) . I hope we have a decent turnout today. If not then it will be a good day regardless because I got a call from Lockheed Martin this morning about my resume and I'm freakin stoked!!!

Carthage: Sheltonious
Pontus: AI
Rome: AI
Armenia: Hotsax
Egypt : Pax25

Thanks everyone for a great game tonight. I am already looking forward to next week, hopefully we will have a bigger showing. Good game tonight.

Second Session: A Few Comments from Afar

Carthage: is having more success colonizing Italy than Spain.
Armenia: on steroids. It is huge.
Pontus: looks about the same.
Egypt: continues to march eastward.
SE Rebs: are they still around? Or is that a new batch of them along the border with Pontus.
Greek World: looks inviting.

My spain colonization got set back a year or two by some pesky barbarians. As for Rome, the AI was unable to move their army out of Taulanti. And I was recruiting mercenary militia to stir up the barbs along Rome's borders. Their northern lands were ravaged by the barbarian hordes, so when I DOW'd them again occupying Italy was all too easy. Ofcourse now I have to let my infamy and war exhaustion cool down while still trying to make my spanish colonization deadline.

Yea, all Pontus did the whole time was build up troops and put them on my borders... That and end their alliance with Egypt and ally the dying SE.

I'll try to write up an AAR some time this week.

Yea the AI Pontus has a habit of doing that. It did that last game when I played as Macedonia.

Alright guys, sorry for the disappearance, but I'm back. Looking at the map though, I'm not really sure who to play. I suppose Macedonia looks promising. Of course I'll switch to Parthia as soon as they appear, and I'm surprised they haven't already. :p

Edit: Reading through the other posts it seems The_Commander called Macedon. In that case, I'll play the Bosporan Kingdom.

The Commander has yet to show so if your in the meta on Monday you can have Macedonia if you like.

Unfortunately, I've updated to the 2.2 beta patch, so I won't be able to play. All things considered, I think I enjoy single-player more anyway, so I probably won't join any more MP games. Hope you guys have fun though, and I'm rooting for Carthage to win this one.

Monday night

Tomorrow night the Cowboys play on Monday night football. I will still host, but for all intents and purposes Carthage will be on autopilot after 7:30pm. So the last hour I will just check up on you guys from time to time to make sure the game doesnt crash.

Monday Night: Yom Kippur

I'm very sorry, but I won't be able to play tomorrow night. Yom Kippur kind of snuck up on me this year, like it does every year, and I just realized that the fast-ending feast falls tomorrow night, putting the kibosh on me and game night.

Taking This Week Off

I wouldn't mind taking a break this week since Ken can't make it and Shelt wants to watch the game. I wouldn't mind watching the game as well since my fantasy football team trails by 18 points going into Monday night's game and I got two guys playing.

A bye week for our Campaign

Yea we might as well take this week off. We will resume the campaign next Monday.

Enjoy your Yom Kippur Ken. You'll have to educate me on this jewish holiday by the way. I'm the history channel type so I'm always interested in learning new things.

Next Monday

Ok, so is everyone going to be ready for next monday? I will be. Hopefully we can get everyone back and also maybe find another player. Macedonia is the still open and probably the most appealing to any new comers. If you wish to join us then simply post here.

Ready for Monday

I'll see you on Monday. Looking at my calendar, I don't see any more bumps on Monday nights for the rest of the month, so this campaign should sail on pretty smoothly until the whole world is purple.

Lol, im sure Armenia or Egypt might have something to say about a purple world. :)

Thanks to everyone who showed up tonight. And as always newcomers are welcome. Good game tonight. The populists have taken Carthage's senate by force. I have something like 41 Populist senators. I forced one civil war out of frustration but I think I will try and go for a Dictatorship next session, civil wars be damned.
