Prediction: We hang Jonti. He turn out to be a goodie. The wolves kill I5 tonight. The village is played.
Prediction: We hang Jonti, He turns out to be a baddie. I5 is hunted. The village is angry at me. I am lynched tomorrow.
If this was a politician, I would vote for it.
Seriously though, if Jonti is good, It's not in the wolves interests to hunt Ironhead, as he may end up being a hinderance to us. Or he may be a wolf. Or my shoes might be made of cheese. Time will tell

Of course it'd be in the wolves interest. A random bad guy contacts I5, gives him a name of someone, jonti in this case, and both jonti and I5 ends up dead and since I5 is dead he won't be able to give us a name of the one that slipped him the information. One of the odlest tricks in the book.
Are you not confusing this with lite, on purpose, maybe? This kind of stratey almost never works in big games. Any smart doctor/GA will know who to protect tonight, also we have changeling...
