It's a shame that it's over because i think i had some okay ones for germany (especially the first few were imo quite important).
I'll post them and maybe some get in. I might also find some pics if they're fine.

I'm too lazy to read through all this, but has anything been done with Vichy?

Vichy: If nobody is working on this I would LOVE to do some research for new TT's. Send me a PM, and I'll work it out.

I had a thought about the nuke teach team. it should be Frédéric Joliot-Curie but as he was communist he pretended to cooperate but he systematcially sabotaged the research. Hence I think that he should be 3 with the following specialities: mathematics, electronics, management, nuclear physics

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frédéric_Joliot-Curie

This guy should be 7 or 8 after the WWII if Alllies win the war.

Pál Lénárd

Biggest hungarian physics
KFKI Atomreaktor

skill: 3 nuclear engineering
Experimental nuclear facility.
Csepel Autógyár Nemzeti Vállalat
1949-our days
skill: 4 mechanics, industrial engineering
Traditional truck manufacturer.
Izsák Imre

In an e-mail i can send the photos, to Kunadam's ones also.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikarus_Bus
This is a good suggestion. Would be best for some logictic tech, fitting its profile on buses.

Ludovika Akadémia
1872-1945
skill: 5 centralized execution, large unit tactics, training, infantry focus
The oldest and the best military academy in Hungary.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludovica_Military_Academy
The existing doctrine research teams cover the doctrines pretty well. Also a 5 would make it too good. I'm not suggesting that Hungary were not good doctrine wise (on the contrary). And when I will see the new system I might suggest higher skills for the existing ones, but there is no need for another team.

Rába
1930-our days
skill:4 mechanics, general equipment, industrial engineering, technical efficiency
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raba_(automobile)
Another good suggestion. However I would also add aeronautics. Some of the airplanes were produced there. It would then be a good team for paratroopers (same as FÉG). It would mostly be of flavour team.

Hardy Kálmán
1930-1972
skill: 3 submarine tactics, naval training, seamanship, small taskforce tactics
Exofficer of the Austrian-Hungarian fleet, the leader of the ships in the Danube during the WWII.
Should be included. Start date of 42 would be more appropriate. He become MG at that time. I would replace submarines with centralized execution. He then would be still optimal for quite some of the submarine doctinres, creating a niche for him.

Zipernovszky Károly
1878-1942
skill: 5 mechanics, electronics, industrial engineering
One of the inventor of the transformer
He was a great figure undoubtedly. However he was active in the end of the 19th centaury, and actually absolutely retired in 1937 and died in 1942.

Repülőkisérleti Intézet
1930-1990
skill: 6 aeronautics, aircraft testing, fighter tactics, bomber tactics
Aeroexperimental centre, all of the hungarian planes between the the two WWs were invented here.
Now a skill 6 is too good. Also note that before the Treaty of Bled Hungary was not allowed to have an airforce, actually most training was done in Italy, thus start date should be later.

Pál Lénárd
1955-our days
skill:5 nuclear physics, mathematics, mechanics
Biggest hungarian physics
He could very well be a nuclear team for the post war era. Add nuclear engineeering and electronics.

KFKI Atomreaktor
1959-our days
skill: 3 nuclear engineering
Experimental nuclear facility.
For nuclear research one team is enough.

Csepel Autógyár Nemzeti Vállalat
1949-our days
skill: 4 mechanics, industrial engineering
Traditional truck manufacturer.
This is Manfred Weiss Művek in the Socialist era.

Izsák Imre
1945-1956
skill:4 mathematics, technical efficiency
Great scientist.
He was a genius, no question. However he finished his University training in 1951, and left the country in 1956. He died at a very young age (36). Could we come up with someone who remained in Hungary and lived a bit longer?

Send me photos please, especially for Hardy!!!

When you are done writing the team files for denmark, norway and sweden please remember to add them all to the team file for scandinavia. While an a-historic puppet it does have a tendency to be released in a lot of the mp games I have played.

In order to make some checks I'm playing as Argentina taking over the tech teams of conquered opponents. I have realized that some techs teams are missing.

is there somebody responsible for this?

i made a suggestion for an austrian team (pic correction) but no reply?

who is actually in charge here (ie collecting/testing it all and handing it over to the devs)?

Hungarian Math team for the post war era could be Rényi Alfréd. He is word famous and lived in Hungary (unlike Erdős Pál, with whom he has published a lot).

now where did you find him, kunadam?! i used to search him without any succes?

It is a recent picture. There is a book by him published last year, and the cover has this picture. There are more and more pictures available on Hungarian generals on the net.
I'm not entirely satisfied with this picture. He was a general of the river forces (42-44) and as such should be in white. But well, he leaded land forces too, so the normal uniform is understandable.

http://images.google.com/images?q=hardy kálmán&sourceid=mozilla-search&oe=utf-8&client=mozilla&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi

Otherwise now I actually go to the library with a friend and try to hunt down some more pictures of leaders.

If you don't mind I'd like to use some of this data in my pack (first release was made two days ago).

Of course with full credits to your work etc :)

I know, it’s a lot of new tech-teams. Do not underestimate the richness of the Swedish technology-innovation and the magnitude of the Swedish industry back in the 1940s though. Taking Sweden’s population into account it’s really impressive. It’s quite amazing paradox ignored some of these “new” “tech-teams” in the first place. Kockums AB for example, was the biggest worldwide producer of ships in the early 50s, and accordingly also an essential Swedish shipyard of the 40s

Hi Easy I do confess I'm not an expert of Sweden and I don't know Swedish but it seems to me that you have overpovered the tech of the country. Could you please provide some more evidences regarding teams above 5? For example you said "Kockums AB was the biggest worldwide producer of ships in the early 50s". This is not a good argument to me first because the focus should be on the 1930s and second because one matter is to build some merchant ships another very different matter is to build a battle ship.

Hi Cardus

This is not a good argument to me first because the focus should be on the 1930s

I disagree with you here. The focus should also be on the 40s. Strictly speaking the war lasted until 1945, and the most relevant technology was developed not between 1936 and 1940, but in the 40s. Do not forget the fact that an industry’s position in the 50s greatly reflects the position and potential of the same industry in the 40s.

Flygtekniska försöksanstalten , FFA (the Swedish Institute for Aeronautic Research)

I gave this team skill 7 to reflect the Swedish pioneering in aeronautics in the mid and late 40s. Sweden has only one tech-team, SAAB, with an aeronautics specialty, and I consider the FFA and SAAB equal in importance and relevance as a tech-teams. SAAB and FFA developed and constructed most airplanes in cooperation anyways. Sweden has traditionally since the 40s developed and build lots of aircrafts. Some of these are considered as great, high quality aircrafts and The FFA has been an essential contributor to this. My thoughts are that a second and better tech-team should reflect Sweden’s position in the world as an aeronautic pioneer.

Kockums AB (Kockums Shipyard Inc.)
It’s obstinate to evaluate the quality/skill level of a shipyard. I’ve come up with that simply its capacity, more precise its size, number of employees and its extent of tonnage produced should stand as a good measurement. As good as every shipyard can construct both civilian and military vessels. They construct ships based on orders. Now, also take into consideration that Sweden was a pacifist state not involved in WWII. Therefore its shipyards, like Kockums, were never mobilized, and turned into a military “war industry”, as was the case with numerous US, British and German shipyards. Though not involved in the war Kockums produced military vessels like submarines, torpedo boats and destroyers during the 30s and40s. Sweden as a neutral state need not be the case for the AOD-player, accordingly the industrial and technological potential for Sweden as in WWII participant should be considered.

One should not forget that Kockums was Sweden's leading manufacturers of railway wagons in the railway from the mid-1800s onwards began to establish itself as a revolutionary means of transport in our kingdom. Kockums was not just one turn of the civili shipping which has launched hundreds of ships, but also a yard that served the Swedish people in its defense of the fatherland. First up was the gunboat Swedish Straits in the 1890s.

AB Elektrolux
Elektrolux only has one speciality: electronics. In the field of electronics I consider Electrolux to be a world-class pioneer, an industry of great knowledge and potential when it comes to developing and producing electronic solutions.

The following notes refer to the Electrolux factory in the United States. I find them relevant because it was a factory “in war”, and because the Electrolux industry in Sweden probably was quite comparable to that in the US, though larger and more essential.

Under the dislocation of the war, the manufacture of most kinds of civilian goods was halted, or at least severely limited, and the Electrolux plant "went to war," along with thousands of other factories throughout the nation. No new vacuum cleaners could be made, although the company was granted permission to continue to turn out parts and service for its countless thousands of machines already in use.

Electrolux's principal, direct contribution to the war as a company was to convert its factory to the "round-the-clock" production of more than 35 kinds of electric motors and precision controls needed by the armed forces. The work force at the factory was considerably enlarged and a schedule of three eight-hour shifts was put into effect, under which employees had only every sixth day off. Only the secret archives of the old War Production Board could have disclosed how many vital instruments of war were made at the Old Greenwich plant during that period.

The Company experienced one of its proudest moments when, on December 30, 1943, the Army-Navy Production Award was presented to it in impressive ceremonies at Old Greenwich. The accompanying citation was addressed “to the Men and Women of Electrolux Corporation for Worthy Achievement in the Manufacture of Precision Equipment for the Fighting Forces.” Before the war ended, the Company proudly added three Silver Stars to its "E" Pennant, to symbolize the winning of three additional awards.

I’ve just read that tech-teams can gain and loose skill in AOD. If this is the case it would be reasonable to lower the skills of some of these new tech-teams.
