Strategy:

I start to post some screenshots tomorrow.

The Horselords - Initialisation

Eva: "Adi my dear, calm down! The world is no pink ponyfarm!"
Adolf:"When I say the worrrld is a pinkk ponyfarm then the worrrld has to be a pink ponyfarrrm! Disbandd the Arrmy! Build Ponies!"

Ok, I said no roleplaying, well maybe I will keep the Eva/Adi dialogues up a bit. But now lets have a look at Germany:

1.jpg

We cant disband theatre HQs? Oh well, so be it! We need them anyways later...

2.jpg

First batch of Horsemen on the way!

3.jpg

Additional measures:

-Influencing Yugoslavia, Romania, Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Hungary.
-Increasing Threat of all Allied Countries.
-Limited research: Industrial, Land Doctrines, Horse Tech but never research more than 6 months ahead.

Gamespeed is high, stay tuned for next update!

The Horselords - The war begins

Eva: "Adi my dear, lets have a ride!"
Adolf:"To Poland!"

Japan is in the Axis, lets see how they are doing:

Danzig? WAR!

The Horselords - Moving On

Eva: "Adi my dear, France has declared War on us!"
Adolf:"But I have horses! To trample down my enemies!"

The Horse Zerg moving west:

7.jpg

The Armygroup AI invading the Netherlands:

8.jpg

France has fallen to the mighty horse Army! Spain and Italy were a big help as you can see on the screenshot. Spain was even able to take gibraltar from great Britain.

9.jpg

This is my pre-barbarossa Army overview: Not only horses, I know, but these are troops from my allies. They are defending France under AI control. The horses are on the soviet border.

10.jpg

Gamespeed is high, stay tuned for the great final!

Hilarious! Will you build some water-ponies for transport?

OMG Hitler's My little-pony brigades.

The Horselords - The great final

Eva: "Adi my dear, you gave order to crush the bolshewiks, remember?"
Adolf:"Yes! Crush them!!"
Eva: "Adi my dear, they didnt show up."
Adolf:"Pardon me?"
Eva:"Yes, our troops are invading soviet union, but there are no bolsheviks!"

And this is what Eva is talking about:

11.jpg

Well several weeks into the campaign, at least SOME Bolshewiks show up:

12.jpg

But Japan is considered a bigger threat by the AI it seems:

13.jpg

Only 4 (four) Months into the campaign:

14.jpg

And only a day later:

15.jpg

This was:

FASTEST BARBAROSSA... EVER!

Some facts:

I opened hostilities versus Sovietunion on 27 January 1940. Moscow was surrounded on 3 March 1940. Bitter Peace Event fired on 10 May 1940.

At the end I had 649 Cavalry Brigades in the East. I lost some, because finland, which is in the allies, encircled some and I didnt interfere, because Armygroup AI pulled of the entire Campaign!

I decided to stop building units after my MP was down to 100. And I even cancelled a batch of cavalry to bring it up to over 300 again. I started improving infrastructure, but the campaign was over too soon, so it was not neccessary.

In the end half Asia, almost entire Europe and half of South Amerika were part of the axis by means of Diplomacy and Conquer.

Difficulty was very hard. I did not reload an earlier game at any time. I did not use any console commands to force diplomacy or events and I did not cheat.

I did accept the deficit trade wishes by all of my allies. I guess japan never payed for the supplies I was sending them.

Japan did a small invasion in northern finland, but never managed to break out of their bridgehead, but were able to hold the bridgehead 4 months.

Great Britain invaded me in France, but French Armygroup AI, equipped with spanish, italian, hungarian and yugoslavian expeditionary forces(~175 brigades) was able to contain the bridgehead.

This was the last episode. I reached all my goals and it was quite fun.

Discuss.

A word to define de SU AI... Lemme think... Oh yes: useless!

Anyway, thanks by the ponei supreme power. :D

So the AI can operate independently if all the correct conditions are met, ie. the human player provides the correct troops and objectives and leaves enough IC and MP for reinforcements and upgrades but when all of things are delegated to the AI then it is a complete shambles - makes SP almost completely pointless.

I understand that USSR doesn't have MP to reinforce reserve brigades but on VH you should have had difficulty with the French let alone the Ruskies.

SU had 1200 MP "behind", that should have been enough to fill their reserves. They had their troops in the wrong places, and when they started reacting it was too late.

France did put up some resistance, but they were attacked from three sides, and that was just too much for them. The hardest fight was 1 on 1 vs poland actually.

Quite and unexpected and quick end. I have never seen a Soviet front this completely devoid of troops.

That was just nuts - in a fantastic way

However, I'm fairly sure there are not that many horses in all of the world.
The game needs not just an MP resource but an HP resource as well.

You fairly screwed the designers on that one.
