Alright...I'm reading through the rules and I have three questions:

1) Why are ties Lemeard approved?

2) What is a Crovaxian slip up?

and 3) Shouldn't the word "majority" be replaced with plurality in the below quote?

Here are more terms explained (or at least a bit :p)

Alright...I'm reading through the rules and I have three questions:

1) Why are ties Lemeard approved?

Because he is Lemeard and he loves TIE's.

2) What is a Crovaxian slip up?

An explanation is in the FAQ, here.

and 3) Shouldn't the word "majority" be replaced with plurality in the below quote?

Technically yes, but we just aren't picky about it as we all know what it means. Not to mention that "plurality" has pretty much fallen out of use in today's lexicon and has been replaced with "majority".

I hope we can keep up this level of activity :p

Four posts replying to the same thing all within a minute is never, ever a bad thing.

However, jonti, why do you think "majority" should be kept instead of "plurality"?

Because it is part of the regular WW lexicon on this forum :)

In the long long ago, there was a player called Corvus Crovax or something. He made a post saying "Who should we eat tonight" rather than "lynch". He was a varulv and got lynched.

You mean this guy? He is still alive and active on this forum :D Does he know we use his name almost everyday? ;)

Because everybody knows what it means, and as an Englishman, I have never heard anyone use "plurality" so non-native speakers would probably not have a clue. It may be technically incorrect if people are to be pedantic, but everyone knows what it means.

Whoa, hold on a minute here.....

You're British? Are none of you people from where my perceptions deem you to be?

lawl, where did you think I was from?

Because they are the awesomest thing ever to happen to WW and yakman is what Cameron would call a "twat".

Be amazed, I am swedish!

Or possibly "chump" in the way Mandleson said it :p

(nobody outside the UK will get that :p)

Cornwall's in England <_<

Nonsense, it's an island in the south indian ocean.

Haven't you been taught proper geography? :(

I believe more people see the disadvantages of a night start now :)
But not everyone....

Therefore we maybe should re-invent the Cook role (invented by jamie550 :))

This role has the following advantages :
1) Someone dies during the 1st night (namely the cook), which makes Euro happy :)
2) The 1st night occurs at the start of the game, so everyone (including the villagers) can start participating immediately.

I'm planning to re-use this role in the next game I will GM.
(and of course Eur007 will most likely get this unique role ;))

Everyone happy ? :)

Na du!

@AVN: killing a dummy player works well, because it doesn't ruin someone's game too early and it makes the game make sense.

I hadn't thought about the cook role that way, but I suppose it's the same, as it gives the wolves the one dead man they get with a night start. What about the seer scan, though? What if the seer doesn't send his order because he isn't online when you distribute the roles?
