The only possibility would be to hypnotize one of his close intimates and friends who Stalin would trust, Molotov for example, and order him to kill Stalin.

It was a hands off game I was watching & occasionally getting involved (to release puppets, note Georgia and others in the South) with - the Germans only got to Leningrad and Moscow in the North but had a ball in the South, this is quite a late picture, they had the whole Ukraine (which I was going to release as a puppet) before it was overrun.
In the long term the USSR won (as usual) but I had hopes that the German AI might have pulled it off.
I noticed that the soviets guard the south rather bad when you reach the caucassus as long as you keep a good sized army in poland-belarus.
