Tested your icons.
The symbol are perfect: light and clear.
The letters and numbers not perfectly readable for my eyes, but that's my fault.
IMHO the symbols could be a little smaller so to leave more space for the letters/numbers.
In conclusion : I'm going to use them ! Thanks TeutonburgerW

Thank you for the positive feedback,
Bibi50!
Tomorrow (if I have some spare time in the afternoon) I will update the icons based on your feedback:
- The NATO symbols will be moved up a few pixels in order to make the text one or two points larger. Also, I will make them a bit sharper, so it's easier to distungish the text. Even I with "perfect" (according to the regiments nurses) have some problems to read the text.
- Darken the text a bit by the same reason as above.
- Change the counter for motorized infantry. I myself also was a bit dazzled by that icon but I followed standard proccedure (APP 6A:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APP-6A#Symbol_modifiers) and then the logical was that, even though I haven't seen it been used myself. I will make an HOI2-style (with two squares in each lower corner) so that one can choose.
Hope you drop by again!
Indeed it is. Woho. Thanks!
TeutonburgerW,
Thanks for the NATO style icons. I much prefer these over anything else. Probably a result of having spent 23 years in the army.
Have a great day.
Hi, mr
Sentinal 6!
Thank you for your kind words and I hope I manage so many years in the army... Only about 20 left!
Feel free to order me any improvments regarding the counters or anything else that you would like to have done! And please come back a later day and I will improve the current counters to your (and others) satisfaction, I hope.

You're welcome. And I'd say you didn't need any help since your skills are very good indeed: the small pier looks very cute!
BTW, which system did you use to keep the violet background without actually screwing up the .bmp (as it happens to me when I try to convert it to 256 colors)...?!?
I don't know where it goes wrong for you, but when you're saying 256 colors, you mean 8-bit, correct? The way I handle it in Photoshop (CS4) is to:
- Open the .bmp I'd like to use
- Ctrl + A (to select all)
- Ctrl + C (to copy)
- Create a new image, press OK
- Ctrl + C (to paste)
- Redo the image
- Ctrl + A, ctrl + C and back to the original image
- Ctrl + V
- Ctrl + S (to save) and then you have the right palette (8-bit) so it appears in-game without the green or purple background.
Easiset solution I found so far for PS4, but I'm not 1337 either, so...
