HOW EAST WAS WON. PART - 1
This update is pretty huge because I want analyze actions of AI and show some serious flaws. Also I agreed that Soviets are underpowered because their full planned economy and drafted army makes upgraiding so expencive and time-taking they cant ever have huge and capable army. In next game I will give commitern +20% IC bonus.
But now...
Bliztkrieg starts. Goals are pocketing Soviets troops in Minsk-region and then attacking from there to Moscow, Leningrad or East-Ukraine.
Soviets gave some unexpected hard defence so in this point possibility of defeat was an realistic option.
Minsk-pocket almost created. First serious flaw of AI: it doesnt defend keyprovinces or doesnt regocnize them before war is actually there. I have seen AI leaving Leningrad undefended. But this time I used paratroopers to capture Smolenks, the key of Moscow.
French AI defend fiercy her Italian border. Even at this point I can see that French AI has been programmed to defend her border even if it would destroy her armies because after I recovered panzers org and started second offencive I simply overrunned French.
Italy is also pretty pathetic. La Spezia-or someting has French garrison but Italy doesnt make any attempts to recapture it! What a joke, later on Bulgarians under my control liberated it.
Minks-pocket.
Emr, two same pictures? No because Im showing Soviets counter-attack in this one. AI is definetly more aggressive but she doesnt regocnize danger of being encircled. Later this topic while blitzing to Leningrad.
Another new pocket in progress. AI definetly doesnt understant dangers and she leaves her troops into certain destruction.

Moscow was conquered by Guderians panzers. Against human oppenent I wouldnt ever to this crazy manuver. Like my armies are in Belarussia now and only thing between Guderian and Minsk are paratroopers in Smolenks. Even half-hearted encircle-attempt would have destroyed me.
At this point I ended my first session because Geyr von toohardtowrites blitz-unit disappered and I had to mod it back. However I have no idea where to mod away that clock. Tips anyone?
I ended here my first part of Soviet destruction campaing. Althought Im extreamly negative I dont meant to say that AoD sucks. It is far superior that HOI2 but unbalanced and bugged. I know people are reading or atleat looking pictures and I would like to talk this game more.
Players also complain having problems to find enough rares as a Germany. I say that is true because rares are converted from oil and you have only one source of oil: Romania. My strategy to run economy is: dont annex every nation. You need allies to harvest resources. Best strategy would be pupeting whole Europe because you would get all resources from pupet after she has reached 1000-limit.
Resources can be traded also for another resources. And only unlimited resource is suply. So product suply like crazy and trade it using diplomaic negotiations. In traiding suply isnt so effective as in negotiations.
Also material converting faculties are needed. But they are highly uneffective. They are your last tool so use them when you need buy more time, dont relly your strategy on those plants.
Go for navy. The patch should be here soon, so the naval issues should be solved. It is always fun to challenge Uk and USA in the naval game.
I propably build huge navy. East is almost conquered.
Finish the soviets, defeat france, then navy and nuclearresearch at the same time, when you finish your research on nukes, start your nuclear program.
