I think the game turned out well. I always find it difficult to try and balance a game especially since it's so small (though I only seem to GM smaller games :p). It gives me a lot of satisfaction to see a game play out to be very close. I am always rooting for the side that's behind (since it makes the game more exciting if it get's closer and people will think I distributed the roles well ;)).

Next time I will take a bit longer with the rules though, because the doc rule wasn't how I wanted it to be. I copied it from a previous game and there I had changed the role to match another rule that wasn't in this game. Without that rule, the doctor would be needlessly long out of commission. I also think I could have made some rules clearer since I did get a lot of questions (especially about the leader role :D)

@everyone who wants to send PM's: even if they are not very interesting it might help giving background information on actions taken in the game (why did the wolves hunt z and why was y lynched) however I have a lot of useful information in the post game comments already.

My fellow villagers, I am pleased to tell you that I have signed legislation that will outlaw snoopdogg forever. We begin the lynching in five minutes.

:(

First of all: Sorry Kriszo, saintis, for missing the vote deadline.
I didn't quite mean to, but got distracted in the last minute or two.

Then again, I'm happy that the clearly insane alternative plan that I had thought up earlier in the day actually pulled through for us :p

Unearned victory! Shenanigans!

We almost won the game the night we hunted calamity. Her doc ability was what almost lost it for us again ;-)

If you thought walrus was the seer why was he not hunted? Also, did johho reveal his identity to lemeard when he scanned him? I think my only mistake this game was not telling him to change his scan target that night.

Kriszo only hooked up with us 10 minutes before the deadline two days ago, when I sniped Rysz to his death. I thought there was a GA because my earlier hunt on you didn't go through and walrus was likely the seer and thus possibly protected. I did not want to risk GA protection.

Instead we got the doc :(

And Randy, I will kill for your hunt order, even though it didn't go through. I play werewolf prison rules style.

It had to be done.
If it makes you feel better, my brutal order has been on you from day one of this game :p

Obviously snoopdogg or Rysz wasn't turned like paranoid me thought when I got eaten so why was I eaten? Was I scanned by the sorcerer or was it because I was a non-red because I helped lynch Jopi? or was it the darkreds that ate me?

Neither.
You were the backup for dublish. - whom the JL obviously cared about! :)
I threw you in there as backup on nothing but "he has to be a goody" gut feeling :p

I will try to make an AAR out of this game for the next tribune, so if you have interesting PM's could you send them to me please (including the moment in the game they were send for chronologic reference).

Do you have all the stuff that I send you still? :)

edit: For those who don't know: I usually CC the GM on the (important) PM's. Mostly because I think the GM deserves the entertainment.

Randy I didn't suspect until Rysz was lynched. He was much quieter than his usual self, but I think that was all rl stuff.

Most of it was.
Some of it wasn't ;-)

To be honest I find being a wolf very, very difficult.

Honestly I have no idea why I wasn't hunted a long time ago. For a second I was paranoid that I was a baddy.

I hunted you the second chance we got. But you were blessed ;-)

The first chance I had I still thought your hunter claim might have something to it and didn't want to chance that or chance hitting a protection of some kind. (Which, let's face it, was a significant possibility there.)

My first big game, Epic!:D

I also though that some of my comments would be a give away, but it seemed that most of you guys thought I was a goodie.. until the second last day.. :p

I'm sorry that we couldn't save you, Saintis. If not for Calamity's doc ability you would have won.

I agree with snoop though: That 'wolf radar' comment of yours was a bit stupid.

Also I found it funny that sbr was 100% right about me but then got hunted by the *other* pack .. I was concerned that hunt might give me away, too.

johho888 was actually the backup hunt from randakar and Saintis, however dublish was lynched so the seer was hunted.
*sigh*

Just remembered that day. I snuck away from my party guests 5-10 minutes before the deadline, saw it was a tie between Lemeard (who I "knew" was a cultist) and dublish (who I believed to be a hunter) but decided that two dead unscanned players might not be such a bad idea, dublish might take someone of his voter with him and most importantly I didn't want to have the whole JL voting Lemeard (snoop, Calamity and walrus were already voting Lemeard) so I thought I'd be better hidden if I stayed with my throw away vote on Kriszo.

Instead I got eaten as a backup because I didn't save dublish. :(

That's some serious bad karma I got there...

Oh, I have to take note that when randakar doesn't post vote analysis and vote counts, he's a likely baddie.

*files in WW mental notebook*

Except for the bit where I now seriously have to consider doing a lot less of that visibly as a goodie to prevent me from being hunted all the time as a villager / lynched as a wolf :p

 Excuses. :p Sometimes the wolves are so amused because they can actually steer attention away from themselves, it's a double edged sword ;) There are times it's useful, there are others when it isn't. :D This time, it was so notable you weren't even trying to "think", unless you're going to play "zombie" now. :p

Yes, I've noticed. I'm sure you remember the last big game? I seriously was going .. *right* .. bandwagon on who I am pointing at. Ergo, wolves want me to lynch that person. Err .. drat. Let's try that again.
Wait, what, another bandwagon? .. jeesh.

This time, it was so notable you weren't even trying to "think", unless you're going to play "zombie" now. :p

I highly doubt it. It's not really part of my MO.

edit: More importantly, I don't like it. If I'm going to play a complete zombie just for the wins then I really don't see the point of it. This game is supposed to be about analysis, paranoia, and wild accusations. I have this handicap - I want the game to be alive and active. It's way more amusing that way.

Yesterday I was 100% obvious, but hey. Evil plan foiled, I was kinda depressed at my chances there. If not for the crazy luck on the scan we would have been dead.

The days before .. well, I was really really busy. I might have been able to slip in 5 minutes here and there to post but I just didn't have time to sit down and think about what I was going to say - if I was going to do analysis I thought it should better be decent or it would get seen through in 5 seconds flat.
Which is what happened to me once or twice as a wolf before..

edit: So, I decided to just not say anything. At all. And to give it more credibility, refrain from voting as well. That Kaetje zombed out at the same time was just lucky ;-)

Anyway: New game?

edit: @slinky - If you want I can send you the mailbox dumps I have from this game by email if you like. It's a lot of text though, and I CC'ed you on everything of significance.

Yes I still have the PM's you send me, so you don't have to send them again :)

Looks like that is up to Kriszo.

No, since Kriszo and I traded places (he GM-ed before me) so it's actually Raczynski's turn. I only now realise that I should have given him a heads up :eek:o

Kriszo jumped up the list for GMing when he GMed the game before this, didn't he? I think it's Racz's turn then, but seeing that he isn't quite able to GM yet as I think he's busy, and that the BSG game just finished, jacob could get run up? :D

Yes, it was really crazy for the villagers, who would bandwagon one of their own, while the wolves were setting up the momentum for the swings or the comments to stop it.

As a regular player, I'd have to say that there are times that you HAVE to vary that game-style, and catch people off guard. An active player suddenly zombing out can mean baddie alarm bells for more than a few people. ;) On the other hand, an under the radar player trying to be too active can mark them as hunt targets. It's how you play off everyone else's paranoia that can shake up how the game flows.

The difficulty you had there was simply not having the means to take out snoop w/out risking getting killed and handing the goodies a win, quite understandable... That nobody was brutalized was even more  Had walter brutalized snoop...

Yes, but it wasn't really planned this way, wasn't it? :D

The most hilarious moment was when Saintis and I were run up, and instead of the village tieing us, we votesniped the seer
