seemingly incorrectly calculated resources and bombing-related unrest

1. My oil production says I should be gaining over 100 units per day, the number indicating my reserves is green, and yet I am still losing oil. And I don't mean losing some over the day and then gaining more than I used after 24 hours, I mean that at midnight of day n I've got more oil than at midnight of day n+1, which is a clear contradiction of my above quoted production figures.

What am I missing here? I've already checked whether I wasn't convoying a lot of it out, and I'm only shipping like 2 or 3 units for a dozen or two of '45 infantry with self-propelled artillery.

2. Does strategic bombardment cause unrest in itself, or can this be traced back to the enemy now lacking enough IC to produce sufficient amounts of consumer goods? I'm guessing it's the latter, but I'd like to know for sure.

I'm asking, because playing as the Jerries, my bombers have leveled the industry in most of England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (they're down to around 80 in total, i.e., counting India), which has apparently resulted in some partisan activity in most of Britain. I mean, it's either the state of their industry that is indirectly causing unrest, or my bombers are significantly damaging their morale, which wouldn't be very historical, as far as I know. Unless there's a third option I don't even know of, like some dissent-causing events for the UK.

It could be the result of smear campaigns. In Arma as the US I've seen the UK go as high as 6%.

I don't remember seeing any smear campaign-related reports with the UK on the receiving end.

you are most likely causing the UK to not spend IC on consumer goods. Bombing does not cause unrest in HOI2, unlike HOI 3

Yeah, that's what I thought. When they're down to around 80 IC, there's bound not to be enough to go around, especially with some 300 divisions to supply.

While I'm asking questions, I just noticed something weird. I can't research any self-propelled artillery of a level higher than 3 or 4. Does it have some weird prerequisites (like sp. rocket artillery?) or why is that? I'm running out of things to research, so not being able to upgrade my brigades is quite a bummer.

Thinking about these questions I'm asking lately, I feel like I should know all of this. That's what I get for only playing this game once in half a year or so, and never playing it all the way through.

You have to research Advanced light tanks to get advanced SPART, and medium tanks to get the higher levels. When you select the ADV SPART tech there should be an "R" by the light tank tech to show it is a prerequisite.

EDIT: Doesn't insufficient supply cause dissent to rise?

there should be an "R"

Wow, I never really paid attention to those Rs, I only ever looked for those arrows when determining prerequisites. Thanks for clearing that up.

I wouldn't know, but I guess that makes sense. And those Limeys sure as hell don't have enough IC left for supplying all their divisions either.

I just tested it with Arma1.3b3, with the US in the 41GC. Every day their national supply stockpile went negative they got a .51% dissent hit. I kept enough in CG keep dissent at 0.
