Force-conversion isn't really the subject of this thread, so it is better to start a new thread about religious/cultural conversions.

Yes, but I was referring to the potential to demand religious conversion as part of the process of forced vassalization. Perhaps it could require a higher war score with a percentage chance for success or failure. Make the penalty for a failed force conversion severe like maybe a 50 year MTTH end date revolt.

Wargoal system? Aren't CK times too "simple" for that? I can think only for so much wargoals:
- Holy war
- Succession war (Our father REALLY wanted to leave all lands to me, brother)
- Conquest (I have claims on those lands)
- Subjugation (You guys are too weak and unknown to stay unprotected)
- Infamy war (It's a question of honor to kill such king)

And... That's all. Isn't it too small?

- Crusade against Heretics
- Pillage
- Destroy military power (castle)
- Force-vassalizing rebel vassal
- Force-vassalizing other rulers

V2 doesn't have that many Wargoals either.

About war justification, goals and "badboy" note this part of the game presentation at Strategium Alliance :

The game is mainly based on relationships between characters, whether between courtiers, among courtiers and nobles, or between lords. These are particularly affected when Lord started a war without justification. It's why Crusader Kings uses a system of justification of war especially when one claims a title, or if he wishes to convert an area to the different culture or religion. There will be, however, no a priori notion of badboy or Infamy in Crusader Kings II.

So it seems the badboy/infamy system of previous Paradox titles will be out of CK2, and replaced by direct effects on relations for unjustified wars.

It also seems forced conversions will be in the game as a war goal.

Pillage? Can we play as vikings? Although it would be good to have versus too rich guys.

But I honestly doubt that medieval rulers said "We are starting war to pillage their rich lands/make them weaker/subjugate those guys". It's common in V2 timeline with White Man's Mission and stuff, but should it be there?

No rulers did not start wars to pillage, but pillage (raid aka chevauchée) was a common means of waging war during the middle ages. Certainly much more common than open battle (too costly) or siege (too time consuming)...
