I can abandon doctrines (Block Enemy ships i dropped because i wanted Decisive Naval Battle) but cannot research those i that are blocked by them (in my case Decisive Naval battle) because they stayed locked.
Other doctrines i cannot even abondon (Commerce Raiding is one, if memory serves, I think Truppenführung is another).
Has anybody else this problem?
And if, does anybody know how i can fix that myself?

There's no problem, this how the tech tree works

There's nothing to fix, but if you want to cheat you can edit the saved game. Look for the tech id and give this id to your country.

Meaning i am stuck with the tech tree someone predefine for me?
Just to be clear: It is intended that you cannot use different doctrines from those preset and also cannot change my opinion?

Yes, this is how the tech tree works. Now you much choose your path and this is, in my opinion, a real improvement. For example, investigating the Marxist Economy tech you deactivate the" Liberal Economy" and the "Military Economy" doctrines, which makes sense for me.
The fact that you do not like the tech tree does not mean that we have to "fix" it :)

Hi :)
You didn't get me, and I'm sorry if my words may be misunderstood.
We want to fix any single problem that Iron Cross may have but the tech tree has no problems, I meant that the tech tree is working as it was designed.
We are open to hear any suggestion and eventually change the tech tree, but there's nothing to fix in something that works as designed. This is what I was trying to say, I didn't want to sound intrasingent or anything like that.
You know, I'm not english and sometimes I can sound rude due to my lack of vocabulary, but this is never my intention :)

Well after reading this thread and knowing Daboo and the whole IC staff are "not" English majors I took his reply to mean:

"We built the tech tree the way we wanted it to be, we didnt see any need to change doctrines for any country as that would have been un historical (their game choice)." They are open to suggestions and I am sure they would be willing to make changes or give us the players that opportunity by giving us the details.

Is this poor service? Not really just designed to specifications, not ours, but theirs. And with that exit stage right.

how is it poor customer service? i dont understand

the op asked how he could fix that himself and the IC staff told him how to do it. hes not exactly going to change the tech tree just because one person doesnt like it... its the way it works, thats an IC game feature, and some people will like others wont...

i personally started to love it once i got used to it...

except that it makes the game unbalanced. Unlike arma, there aren't advantages for each tree. some are designed to be just crap. Your italian navy, however much you put into it is going to suck.

In the scenario files, you can edit the blocked techs (remove the ones you want unblocked and block the alternate (If you don't, i found out you can research both sides of the tree) however thats a more permanent solution (i have several copies of the 33 scenario files with different changes depending on my mood)

Hey lord! Thanks for pointing me to the Scn files, I have never changed any code or messed around in any of the files in the games, just too chicken I guess, but I do want to see what happens if I do unlock say Naval Doctrines for Germany.

Could you give me some pointers? I did open the Ger_33 in Scenario files and looked at the code and most of it is in Spanish, (boy I need to learn this language soon) but majority I can make out the meanings, so in the deactivate area what would I have to do to have those referenced doctrines unlocked for use? Is this pretty simple fix. I dont want to delete the code because not sure which } ends it. I did take programming but I stink at coding it but can follow it, however the } are confusing where they are at currently.

Any help greatly appreciated sire.
