Pros and Cons of Early Barbarossa? Nov '39

Playing a second game of Germany.

Its late Nov 1939 - steam cleaned Poland and did an early attack on France and lowlands in oct 1939 - France taken and Vichy created by Nov 15th.

I have about 20-25 div in France and lowlands protecting coastline, 6 division lined up against Yugoslavia and 30-40 divisions along Soviet border with more rushing there from battlefields of France. I have 10 divisions ready for Altmark in the spring.

Baltic Countries still not yet annexed by USSR and they just DOW'd Finland.


Question: Is this is a good time for Barbarossa? Way too early or good timing?

What are the pros and cons?

You can probably beat Russia now, i dont think any good German player has ever lost in IC against Russia.

The SOV in 39 are very weak. GDE will be about .6 to .7, they will have a high Revolt Risk that will seriously impact them, and they will not have had time to build up their army.

The additional IC from East Poland + the baltics states is what allows the SOV to build up their forces. So take them soon to deny the oportunity.

You can probably force a BP in 6 months.
You forces will be able to attack at odds of 3 GER divisions to 9-20 SOV divisions and win. (Bug in game makes the SOV forces total wimps)

You can force the Denmark and Norway surrender with 6 divisions in two 3 DIV corp stacks.

Use one three DIV stack to take Oslo, and jump the second stack to Narvik by taking the one deepwater port halfway to Narvik, then evacuate and use the same force to take Narvik.
