I want to prevent the outing of one pack just because a cultist got in contact with an other one. That would be even worse I think.
Sorcerers are never pack specific, they can always win with any pack, and will always count for parity on the baddies side, contact or not.

Agreed. I'm a little leery of someone out there who is alive but has absolutely 0% chance to win; what sort of hijinx will that player get up to just to squeeze some fun out of a pointless game?

If it was you, then the sky's the limit :)

Well said :)

edit: BTW, does anyone still have that chain letter PM that I5 send when he scanned me-wolf way back when?
And can they post it here? That was brilliant ..

What I used to do is that if all wolves in a pack are killed, the remaining cultist(s) get promoted to wolf. That way the player still has some motivation to try to win.

I don't know if "brilliant" is the right word for it. As I recall, I was eaten that very night :(

What about being made into a villager? Interesting, I'd say... (You have found a cure for lycantrophy and you're now a villager :D). No danger of selling his pack out, since it doesn't exist anymore, a chance to sell the sorcerer perhaps, but not an easy one (depending on rules), as by the point one pack is wiped, you could have been scanned cultist already.

I'm filling up my HD with (hilarious) WW message logs. Too bad I wasn't playing back then...

Hmm that would be a possible solution. I guess its a bit late to implement though.

I've thought about that one, and the problem could be instant outing of the whole pack. With the already implemented rule of only one wolf contact though, it could work. Hmm if this would have occured to me before the start I might have implemented it.

Pack specific cultists going Doctor Strangelove when they lose their pack is part of the fun. Let the poor cultists have their fun.

I aggree, but I want to prevent them killing their own pack in order to "go Doctor Strangelove". If it could be somehow prevented, then fine.

I am not sure what would motivate a cultist to do that, besides abuse from his master. I say that is a good thing. And if a cultist does it without justification, he will be punished in future games. Players have a way of sorting that thing out. Some things a GM cannot deal with.

I have half a decade worth. Keep collecting them. Its fun to go back and read the insanity sometimes. It is also useful to have people's writing and grammar on file to use in the event that a forgery is needed. In order to pass a fake, you need to have it fit their style. I have stuff from almost everyone.

Unfortunately I am also such a pathological liar no one believes anything I say anymore. Have fun while you can still get people to believe you.

Ok, you convinced me. But I don't think changing the rules when the game started is a good idea. But we are still in the beginning...

Ok, scratch the original rule, seeing this resistance against it, and people pointing out its faults, I've been convinced, and because voting hasn't even begun yet, I think it is not too late to change it.

RULE CHANGE: Pack specific cultists can change packs, but only if their pack has been killed, and they are in contact with an other pack. Both a wolf from the new pack and the cultist changing sides needs to PM me the proof of the contact.

I'll post the update soon

Night 1

Night 1

NATO-meeting.preview.jpg

The leaders of NATO assemble to discuss how to deal with the insurgents

As tensions grow, the shouting starts. You all know there are insurgent countries among you. You just don't know who. Several investigation methods are suggested, but they are all turned down. It seems, anyone who wishes to know what the others are up to, has to rely on his own sources. But as tension and agitation grows, it is unanimously decided, that action is to be taken. Even if you cause collateral damage, the insurgent countries are to be destroyed. There must be peace at any cost. As NATO is a democratic organization, there will be voting on which countries are subject to destructive strikes. The meeting went on so long, that the day has passed. And as the leaders of the countries go to rest and prepare for tomorrow's voting, they all know: nobody is to be trusted, and the insurgents have already started to execute their plan...

No kill during the night
Voting may now commence

Suck on that enemies! I am still alive! Eutopia will roll you all! FORWARD TO VICTORY!

vote hax

dirty germans and their warmongering...

Vote AOK, the self-admitted pathological liar

Actually
unvote AOK
as he is also interesting to have around for a while.

vote Rysz for thinking about marrying an Essex instead of a nice Habsburg girl.

Vote the_hdk.
He knows why.

VOTE IRONHEAD

Ironhead was probably turned by one of his many enemies.

If we're looking at it that way, who're the people who tend to get hunted soon nowadays? Maybe a turned Randakar, eh?

vote Rysz for thinking about marrying an Essex instead of a nice Habsburg girl.

Vote Trinitrol for being thick-headed. Rysz is gay, he'd never marry a girl, no matter where from.

Vote Kaetje

Read my bloody sig if you don't know why.
