Nimitz,

We're unlikely to include SSBNs, since there are no nukes in the game. For all the others, the answer is "maybe" :)

A "maybe" means we'd like to, and they are on the B list, but it's all depending on budget and time constraints.
I would think at least the Gerald R Ford and Growler would be on he high priority list, since the Ford is such a major platform. As for the Growler, electronic warfare is a huge part of modern warfare, and the EA-6B Prowler will be long gone by 2030.

Fleet Command didnt have nukes but still included SSBNs.

Hello and welcome stormridersp,

Thanks for your frank comments.

We have positive plans for a Pacific-based sequel to Naval War: Arctic Circle, where the Chinese have a prominent role.

We definitely have no plans for any C&C-style game. You'll just have to wait and see what we come up with; I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

In comment to your geopolitical opinions, I can do no better than the great Adam Savage: I reject your reality and substitute my own! :)

Peace!

China? C&C style gameplay? It's been done.

I am pleased to see that the game is now taking a definite form. Many of my questions that I asked in the beginning were often answered with a "maybe", now I see many of those same questions are answered in a manner that indicates clear goals and many things done.

On SSBNs, Im fine with no nukes, but I would like to see them anyway so there could be missions where you hunt them down or escort them.:)

Not a bad idea

Whats with the giant airplanes in the early screenshots? The Super Hornets on the deck of the Nimitz are HUGE! :D
Artistic freedom (these aren't the game models, they were made for the illustrations).

If we didn't enlarge the planes, we could just as well leave them out as you would not see them. It is possible we'll have to do the same thing in the actual game, but we'll see. Your namesake CVN is a very, very big ship!

Whats your plan on the Developer Diary releases? One a month?

Oh my what I've missed :D Awesome to see Developer diaries coming, I'm more than exited as now we have a proof that you'll be doing something and we're all the time closer to the release :D

What kind of plans you have for the releasing delay in other countries as logically Norwegians and Swedes will be the lucky ones this time :p Is Finland near the first countries or do I need to take a small trip to the other side of the border to buy it when it's out? :D

Well that means good because they seem to be quick get the games for sale in scandinavia :D

Although to get it to stores here you'd better make a real hit game because most of paradox stuff (EUs, HoIs Victorias) are here pretty "underground stuff" that needs to be found in gaming stores that are rare. I have no doubt in the success of NWAC :D

Best of luck in developement!
Wave

edit: to clear myself about underground, I haven't seen any HoI or Victoria series' games for sale here, also the divine winds, latest expansion for EU hasn't shown up yet anywhere but apparently it was released in December...

I have no idea why developers are secretive here, but this is common knowledge: In USA the retail market decided that the best day of the week to release a game is Tuesday. In Europe it is believed that Friday is the best day to release a new game. That is why USA always releases a game a few days earlier, no matter where the game is made.

However as the digital distribution takes over, I believe that soon this will not be an issue any more and everyone in this world with internet connection will get a game released at the same time.

I must say I am pleased to see how much forum interest there is regarding this game. I was worried at first the game would slide under the radar, no pun intended.
