Can I please see my personal traits Emu ?

Also I am coming after your job Ärjylä !

My ship has more firepower - that's the best way of ending someone's career for good!

Other than that, this AAR is brilliant. :D Congrats to Billy Bob - we shall need those resources in constructing our alien-asskicking-fleet!

Really cool game, to bad I cant install it on my win7 :(

13th in seniority, lucky me. Is seniority random?

It's computer-generated by some mysterious algorythm, yes.

what are my traits?

EDIT: I trust you all noticed how wildly luck swings back and forth in this game. We started out with a bad break... we were going to run out of space-fuel less than nine years into the game. Then another bad blow... no researcher (at all!) for a vitally important tech path. Then ANOTHER, with the second missing researcher. Then we get a warning that our stockpile of Neutronium will be completely exhausted in eight more months... EIGHT MORE MONTHS??? This is only January 1st of the first year!

And then what happens?

... we get a good break. We get the best friggin' Colony site that I've ever SEEN in an Aurora game. Only one week after game-start.

Crazy luck, both good and bad.

Perhaps we should also design a capable scouting vessel with big-ass sensors after we find first jump points? After all, we need to know where those damn Aliens are before we can pre-emptively defend ourselves against them!

Ok, I have to ask. What are Mazer's traits?

And fortune favours the bold, so hopefully luck will continue as you head out to the stars. I'd hate to see an alien race attack your first colonies right when everything seemed to be going well, but that seems to be a distinct possibility in this game.

I concur with Admiral Arjyla, no use finding a jump point when we can't protect it or explore it. So something fast with good sensors?

Unfortunately, any new ship type is at least five years in the future... we would have to finish the (barely started) ship that is currently occupying the slip, then re-tool the shipyard, then build the new ship. Five to seven years in total.

I'd like to command a carrier if/when you build one. If that wont be for some time, then a survey vessel would be nice.

Commander Polar Mongoose is now in command of the Geologist class Geo-Survey vessel ESN Lyell.

... and that's the last of our Survey ships until four more roll off the ways a bit less than two years from now. Everyone else will have to settle for Naval Auxiliaries (Freighters, Scoop-Miners, Tankers) or become Fighter Pilots when the Fighters start rolling out a few months from now.

what are we building ship wise at the moment?

Screen-shot in post #123.

January 13th, 2025. Commander Coinneach of Astronomer class Grav-Survey vessel ESN Copernicus has located the first Hyperspace Jump point leaving the Solar System! It is located between the orbits of Jupiter and Saturn, and about 40 degrees clockwise of Saturn's current orbital position. After reporting his find to Fleet Ops, the intrepid Commander fearlessly heads his unarmed ship towards the Jump point. A new age is about to dawn... Commander Coinneach will be the first human being (except perhaps for Elvis) to leave the Solar System.

... check out the "Personality Traits" box!

Thank you for appointing me, i hope there is some way i can use a governorship to fuel a drug habit and create some way out of my poverty. Also could governors have a title of their choice when appointed as part of their name?

I hope, Coinn`s ship is equipped with a Laptop containing a frigging computer virus, just in case he encounters a giant space ship belonging to Aliens with a locust-like behaviour.

EDIT:

Now I`m curious and want to see my traits too.
