It´s not an issue really.
But it just hit me that nowadays the post numbers a member have doesn´t really give him or her any benefits.
So why not allow the OT-posts to count against a persons total posts?
The OT Forum are far from the spamming ground it was back in the old days, and if a few more people would be attracted to post more just because of it, it would probably strengthen the community.

I have mixed feelings about this. As wonderful as the OT forum is, posts there do not quite add to the value of Paradox products the way regular posts do. Regular posts include game strategies, mods, tech support, and discussions about how the games can be better.

My sentiment exactely.

Why have new people in the OT?

Who says post counts don't get you anything.
Any number of things are related to post count. ;)

A link to a page where those things are listed would be useful... just to know.

Well, many OT post are more interesting than regular "Great update posts" in the AAR-section. :)

It is our policy not to disclose them as we do not want to encourage spam.
But There are none over 10k at least for now so you can stop your spam. :p :)

There's more than:

What is this rank under my name?
Under the user name, there is a user title shown. The rank is decided from the numbers of counted posts made, according to this list:

Recruit - 1
Private - 10
Corporal - 25
Sergeant - 50
Second Lieutenant - 100
First Lieutenant - 200
Captain - 300
Major - 500
Colonel - 800
Lt. General - 1200
General - 1700
Field Marshal - 2500

?

That i knew... plus the fact that you ned a certain amount of posts to have a custom title. And ther used to be avatars freed but post count (though i believe that doesn't exist anymore since we got to new server).
