Let me borrow that votecount for a minute.

All right people. You don't listen to my pitiful begging. It's time for the heavy artillery. You say drxav scanned me. I say bollocks. Why?

If he scanned joeb on Night 0 he would most likely have at least tried to have him lynched. Put a random vote on him, called him out on anything really. Whatever that might get joeb hanged. He didn't. He went for SPLIT, not unlike my current incarnation.

If he scanned joeb on Night 1 he would have made an attempt to kill him for sure. I can only assume he had two villagers scanned a this point, since there was no outing on Day 2. drxav went for Napoleon the now confirmed villager. Never the slightest inclination to put joeb/me in danger. Never.

If he scanned me, who subbed in for joeb after that, on Night 2 we would surely have seen some sort of attempt on my life. Nothing. drxav himself got run up on day 3, and what did that give us? A reverse outing, saving drxav (and getting him hunted most likely) while killing wolf Kingepyon. At this point we knew that he had scanned esemesas and Capt. Kiwi, who for some strange reason wasn't outed. In any case, there was never the slightest inclination from drxav to go after me. He went for Kingepyon, who just as well could have been one of those scans. We can't know for sure.

What we do know is that if drxav scanned me, he must be the worst seer ever. The handling of the outing of Kiwi was poorly handled in itself and should have occurred on day 3 really. That would have spared drxav from the reverse outing and maybe allowed him to live another day. He never showed any tendency to have me killed. What we got was this outing, straight out of the blue. Capt. Kiwi has been proved a wolf, but I still claim that outing me was a misunderstanding and/or a wild guess from someone in the JL.

And now, for the quad!

Would a wolf go to my lengths to save himself from an outing?

Probably, yes. But you've already killed every other wolf. I would merely be delaying the inevitable. I have nothing to win as a wolf any more, a my chances of winning at this point would be abysmal, at best.
So why am I defending myself here? Because I am innocent. I am getting defensive? Of course I am. I am about to be hanged because of a faulty outing. I am always defensive, and even more so when I stand wrongly accused. If I were a wolf I'd just quit already and set up the next game.

That is all. Do as you please, but remember, by lynching me you are merely postponing your victory at the cost of two more villagers, one of which might actually be a worthy winner.

Unless Napoleon (ex essemas) can confirm that Najs was scanned... Marty99 has a very sharp mind, and I suspect both Kiwi and Najs were very well educated guesses... I agree on Kiwi but not on Najs at this moment

Why would you ever agree that I was a wolf?

If you're a wolf and successfully convince us to lynch someone else, say Falc, what does it get you? We're days and days away from parity, even if you survived until the next day was parity, we'd lynch you that day. If you really are a wolf there's no way you're winning now. I think I know you well enough Najs to believe you when you say you'd surrender. Seems more likely we're on the wrong target.

But then why the outing? You were JL outed. Surely we should give the JL that delivered us Capt. Kiwi's head on a platter the benefit of the doubt? One wonders though... There was Night 0, Night 1, Night 2, Night 3 Drxav died, and I recall from the long conversations on adjudication that the seer dies before he can tell anyone his scan results. So 3 scans. Esemesas was obviously scanned. Capt. Kiwi was apparently scanned. Leaves one more, Najs. Here's what I don't get: if Capt. Kiwi, or Najs, was a known wolfie on Day 3, why didn't the JL out him/them? They wouldn't have had to JL "in" Drxav, which probably got him hunted. So, maybe neither Najs nor Capt. Kiwi was scanned? Maybe Drxav scanned someone who got hunted or lynched? Like Nautilu. When you've got 2 wolf names why withhold them? Something's really wrong.

There's another odd thing.

Since I haven't been autolynched yet - [he wasn't scanned], but [Marty's] actions made it pretty clear he wasn't a wolf. We took a bet and it paid off.

Okay so I figured Marty had exonerated himself by driving Kingepyon to death, right? But that happened immediately before Drxav got hunted. Esemesas, Kiwi, Najs... Esemesas was the last JL member alive if those were the scans, am I wrong? If he's not, which his statement implies, then there was only one wolf scanned, right? Or was Ese not scanned?

I'm wondering if maybe Marty really was scanned JL, as was Esemesas, and that the last guy was hunted, say Nautilu. Capt. Kiwi and Najs were both just educated guesses, maybe? I'm deeply confused about it all, although the simplest explanation seems to be that Marty99 was added to the JL prior to Drxav's death.

At the end of the day, if Najs is going to haunt me for the rest of my WW life in horrible green text, I at least want the satisfaction of knowing that I tried to save him.

Vote Falc

So yeah, last night I got my heart broken. And I don't really care enough right now to even try to stay alive. I fold. Give'em their win, tamius.

Right, I have a bit of a confession to make. It appears that, since I left, this game has acquired byzantine levels of complexity. I will now reduce this in the following manner.

Namely, that Naj was never scanned. I know that I said earlier that he was and was found to be a wolf. An untruth. However, an untruth that has revealed some rather interesting things.

Furthermore, Marty99 was told that Naj had been scanned, in order to perpetuate the story of Naj’s scanning.

In addition to this, you may notice that a scan is now adrift. It was not Naj, but Marty99 (in his current incarnation) who was scanned (and found to be a villager), but was informed to the contrary in order to maintain the scan number.

Therefore, I must apologise, in particular to Marty99 and Naj, for not having given you the whole truth the first time around.

Thus, for reasons listed by many above:

Vote Falc

However, should I be wrong, I would suggest voting for Naj the following day.

EDIT: hang on, has Falc just confessed?

Am I allowed to talk about the game now?

I'll wait for a GM statement...

Najs, you need to understand that we are lynching you. If you are not a wolf, your sacrifice is noted, but the evidence too great against you to allow you to live.

I approve of the effort this man put into his defense. :)
Also, ghosts really shouldn't comment until the GM says the game is over.. You never know what kind of shenanigans people might pull at the last second.
Just a friendly reminder.

Thank you, although you could probably have stayed alive for another day without much trouble. The OT Forum might want you to pay them a visit regarding the broken heart-business...

Shenanigans.

I think not!

Of course I put in the effort, I was innocent! And you are right, the game isn't over yet. So everyone, would you please unvote me and vote Falc so we can end this? :D
