I just read that themilitary part of the game is the most central one but what about political aspect of the game... Can you change your goverment type (let's... turn Canada commies and align with the USSR)? Do coutries have their real life political parties? Can you appoint minister? How do election work? Can you enact political, social or economic reforms? Is the diplomatic part of the game is any good? How international relation and U.N. works?
I'm not that much of a warmonger so I would like to know if the game still worth buying.
Thanks.

- Cannot change gov type
- Political parties are "abstracted"
- Ministers are set by your political leaning chosen in player profile
- Elections are Majority Wins system, occurring 4 year intervals for democratic regions
- There is no "social policies" section (I assume you're thinking like in Vic2? We don't model stuff like that)

may not be everything you're looking for, but still a lot in the game you might like. Why not try the demo? I'm a big proponent of informed customers.

Where is the Demo?

-So, as Canada I can't change my goverment type but can I still can align with the USSR?
-What do you mean? Liberal, conservative, socialist etc? (Can real parties name can be modded in?)
-Can you have minorities goverment? If you play as France or USA, do they have a working presidential system?
-If I understand you correctly, to more I set my political leaning to the left, the more I will have leftist leaning ministers?
-If there no social policies, how do you manage your domestic policy ( Is there not any ethnic or social revendication of some kind that can lead to social unrest?)
-Is the diplomatic part of the game is any good? How international relation and U.N. works?
-Is the demo out?

My mistake, the demo didn't get posted last night (I was at my mechanic this morning using internet there, didn't realize we'd missed loading the demo last night, trying for tonight...)
And how about that :

Anyone who got the game can help me out on those?

You could wait a bit before reposting the same thing for the third time considering this is the release date. A little patience is appreciated at times like these.

- Yes, Liberal to conservative determines your cabinet
- no, exact leadership system not defined. Real world leaders appear in many nations at historically accurate times
- yes
- there are no domestic policies to be controlled. You set taxation vs. social investment.
- There is no specific UN model, they involve themselves from time to time through interactions with regions. Define "Good" - that's a very subjective term. I think it's excellent...

I see at the beginning of the game south korea and france at war with nth korea now italy and portugul send troops to and attack nth korea but i dont see them at war with them and as america my troops cannot attack without a war dec.

Your American troops can be placed into South Korean ports, and then march north into North Korean combat.

Thank you for the response Balthagor....I will be buying the game and ontop of your politeness and pro-active approach on the forum I appreciate that and look forward to more great titles from Battlegoat. Thank you :)
