I recently started a game on Sandbox with the United Kingdom. I'm currently on the 6th of October 1950, so about a year completed. First thing's first, the Korean War started a few months ago (game time) America was already there so they got tucked in with the fighting aswell as S.Korea. I got pulled into the war because of alliance's. So I began to send 21 Infantry units (No oil used as was extremely short) Once I arrived I calculated that they weren't going to do alot of damaged and decided I need some Artillery bombardment. Lucky enough I'd recently moved 5 Destroyers to Diego Garcia, took them out of reserve and off they went to fight in the Korean War.
Once upon arrival the Destroyers could not border creep from the S.Korean side (Near Wonsan) onto the N.Korean side as the land units do very easily. Thus I could not bombard from the sea. When I tried the sea units just went to the nearest port which happened to be a taken over N.Korean port of Sinpo.
Obviously I could Bombard from sea if I was at war with them, but I'm not, it's a proxy war and I'm fighting for the S.Korean's.
P.s One more thing, seperate, the Malayan Emergency also appeared on 1st January 1950, news report told me insurgents popping up. Took a look but nothing happened over in Malaysia
Anyone else had similar problems?
