no no i have learnt over many games with randakar:

Good= Loads of posts and analysis
Bad= non active, one liner posts

Its only until you bring him up on it he then goes back to faking his major long posts but really he is doomed from the start and a lynching will be on the cards.

That actually is a bit of a mischaracterisation. I -do- tend to analyze a lot as a baddie, too. And in fact I have won my fair share of games as a baddie, too. So 'doomed from the start'? Hardly ;-)

That being said, it -is- hard for me to get fully engaged with games when I am a wolf. Now that it is hard for me to get fully engaged with games -regardless- of my status (real life obligations tend to do that) and on top of that a lot of other people are quite capable of saying what I want to be said when I'm a villager I expect the distinction to get quite a bit less clear :p

As an example all you need to look at is the last lite game - I didn't really analyse a ton there, did I?

There wasn't really a ton of analysing from anyone there, so that point is kind of moot. All we did was let the JL run the show.

Technically I think to be equivalent to a 12/4/1 you'd need to randomize all roles with a 17th slot. Should a seer land in the 17th slot that's equivalent to a night 0 hunt of the seer. Should a wolf land in the slot then re-randomize until you get a seer or villager. But then 12/4/1 isn't some mathematically perfect formula anyway so who cares? I can rock a day start without any catches.

@ Tamius

Hmm... IIRC I've got 3 wins and probably well over 10 losses. In one Lite I acted like a harmless fool, and won as a non-JL villager. In another Lite I acted like a clueless villager and won as a JL villager, using some unorthodox tactics. Most recently acted myself and won as a wolf. Personally I think the straight-up goodie villagers have 0 chance of winning, but then again you've been erratic enough that I don't understand why they've lynched you.

My best game so far has been Big CIX in which I acted like a complete idiot and I only lost because of marty's mass suicide. I managed to vote for myself, what, five times.

Yeah, I'm not necessarily looking for an exact mathematic equivalent, just for something that's likely to work. But here's hoping that one more player shows up. And that Euro's actually in, I'm not going to think about a 15 player alternative yet.

Hmm, no wonder then that my only win is as a wolf. :p

I thought Mal won in his first game...

Nope, I was hunted midgame as a villager in my first game. That proper Stalingrad (of tami's insane tie fame) where I was a wolf was my second game.

Does it count as a Stalingrad if the village commits suicide?

Does it count at all if Tami was involved?

It used to be true, imo. Back in the day. Of course, most players have trouble with that, you only stood out because you were so active.

Yes, that was in my game where you got used as a mouthpiece for the IJL, got the seer killed and died. We were actually going to try to mess with you in last Lite in a way that resembled what you did in The Asylum, but I changed my mind.

I have no recollection of that game. I'm pretty sure it never happened. *wink wink*
