As some may have noticed, we're posting a screen from the Warlock game with a short description each week on Facebook. Since some people are not that fund of Facebook we figured that we should start posting them here on the forums as well. So, stay tuned for a new Warlock screen each week. Right here on the Warlock sub-forum!

Here is the first one:

Your Lordship, here is but one example of tactics you can use for taking the ruins. Swordsmen at the front, hunters at the rear, some rogues at flanks to commence the final blow and some magically summoned creature as the bait. But I'm sure you as the Great Mage know this last better than me. Am I right, Your Lordship?

The dragon looks sweet :) Are they attacking it, or the whitey-thingie in the middle?

So for so good, though I guess I find weird rogues be used as an unit (this is assuming that the units represent something akin to a division)

I wonder if there'll be an eXploration element to go with the eXpansion, eXploitation and eXtermination?

It looks far more like Elven Legacy. In fact, it looks exactly like Elven Legacy.

Don't get my wrong- I enjoyed it immensely. It's just not quite as... fresh? as I thought it might be.

Far more? I don't agree.

I did my best finding comparable screenshots, the angles are quite similar.

Take a look at this EL screenie. The one you got looks different because the only units shown have only one dude per unit.

How about now?

I was initially going to try and find units/terrain that matched more precisely, but it was a pain in the rump to do that much. I'm gonna go and kill some elves now.

Nope, still find it look more like Civ V. :p
Of course I see the similarities between EL and Warlock, but the style between Warlock and Civ V look just extremely similar to me.

But, I never played EL, so you probably look at it with a different perspective than me.

Isn't it the same company that made EL? Similarities are then only natural.

I also think it looks more like Civ5.
