Sellout doesn't imply that you killed him, but rather that you endangered a packmate. The best sellout is one where you commit the utmost effort to get your packmate killed, and yet fail to do so. It could be your intention to have others come in and choose one of the other two frontrunners.
You know... If you're 5th sub and EUROO was 2nd sub, then Boris was 1st sub and I don't see the point in making a 5-man sub-list with only you in it.

That's not true. I've seen at Kiwi do it as well. And I'm sure there are others.
