Hello,

I already contacted Steam Support about this, but they told me that I should contact you.

The problem is the following: I bought the Cities in Motion Complete Pack a few days ago on Steam, during the time it was available as a special offer. This pack includes the German Cities Expansion, which Steam correctly shows as owned. But when I download the game on my Mac, the German Cities are not installed and are not available. However, if I change to my Windows machine and install the game there using Steam, the pack is correctly downloaded and installed.

Best regards and thanks for any help

Have you tried verifying the game cache in Steam? (Steam Library>Right click on CiM>Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity)*

*I don't have a Mac so im just guessing that Steam works the same way as in Windows.

Not all macs have right-click (why? nobody knows...). So it must be done by holding Ctrl and clicking (acording to eHow).

Hi,

I tried that already, also tried deleting and redownloading the game. The really interesting thing is that this does work correctly on Windows.

Check if you have the file germany.gs in:
\Libray\Application Support\Steam\SteamApps\common\cities in motion\
If it is there, delete it and verify integrity again.

There is no germany.gs, which is exactly the problem: Steam never downloads it. Maybe the attached Screenshots will help to clarify the actual problem.

I'd also like to say again that this problem is not persitent with windows, where German Cities is in deep available. My personal guess is that something in the Steam database is wrong, where the ownership of the DLC is not correctly checked if accessed by a Mac. Alas, as I have no clue how Steam handles this things internally, it is indeed just a wild guess.

Thanks again

Hi daBorg666,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Do you have Munich-map available? I will have my Mac-people check on this asap!

Cheers,
Mariina

So germany.gs never gets downloaded on the mac version? That is odd, we will check the Steam depot to make sure it is in there and see why it wouldn't be syncing it!
In the meanwhile, you can always copy germany.gs from your windows folder (C:/Program Files/Cities in Motion) to your mac folder (right click on Cities in Motion.app>Show package content, go in Contents/MacOS) to enable the German DLC.
We will get back to you when we know if the file is really missing or if Steam is having an issue synchronizing it.

I got a word from Steam that they fixed this issue and added German cities also to the Mac version of the Collection. Please let me know if you continue having troubles with this, and sorry for the inconvenience!
