Watch Your Step

Welcome to the village, my lord! I'm not too sure what would bring your kind to a sleepy little village like this, but judging by the cut and fabric of your clothing I would say you'd recieve a much warmer welcome up at the castle with our lord baron and his family!
Rumors? Well, once again, I'm not sure what an obvious gentleman like yourself would want with the rumormongering of a lowly innkeeper like myself, but of course I'll oblige you. Did you hear that young Sara Goodly the bakers daughter is pregnant, and claims that its the get of the lord-baron hims-
Oh? Not those kind of rumors? Well, lets see... ah... well... of late, there've been stories told, mainly by hunters and woodsman, far below your station my lord, and hardly of consequence. They bring tales of deer and elk and other such large woodland creatures, all mangled and torn as if attacked by a wolf out of hell! Some are whispering that our village has become afflicted by savage woodland spirits, and that the only way to lift the curse is to go out and hunt these spirits down, with fire, crossbow and sharpened pitchfork if need be. But if you ask me, such men and women who would believe the tales and superstitious ramblings of lonely, drunken woodsman are worse than fools! Its like as not the work of wolves, such as we used to see during the long winter years ago...
Where are you going, good sir? I... werewolves? No, no, no, sir, wolves! Werewolves are a myth, and if you believe in such things your a worse fool than those who listen to the woodsman's tales of enraged tree spirits! No, don't go taking this to the lord-baron, he need not trouble himself with such concerns! Good sir, please, come back!

Welcome to Eldersbry, a small and sleepy village in the English countryside along the border of Wales, surrounded on all sides by thick forest and overlooked to the west by a steep, craggy mountain, upon which rests the manor-keep of Lord Baron Jerald West. The village makes a living off cutting the surrounding forest for lumber, and lives mainly off the meat gathered by its hunters from the same forest. Life for the villagers is simple, but good, and the West family have always been kindly to them, never demanding more than they could supply.
But for decades Eldersbry has housed a terrible secret. A clan of Werewolves makes its home among the villagers, living just as they do during the day, but at night emerging in their true form to hunt. Up till now, their bloodlust has been slaked by the occasional wandering traveller, and preying upon the larger wildlife that inhabits the forests. But then a traveller, of noble appearance, with a strange accent, and carrying an interesting assortment of weapons, came to the village, and exposed the presence of the Werewolves to the villagers. While the villagers find it hard to believe him, and he soon after disapeared before being able to bring evidence to support his claim, the suspicions of the village rise every day. The Wolves will have to slaughter them all, or risk being put to the torch.
Can the villagers discover the true identity of the wolves hiding among them, or will the Werewolves kill them all first, and escape to find a new hiding place, among the innocent people of the English countryside?
Rules:
There shall be seventeen (17) players.Special Roles will be handed out after the last person signs up. Only Special Roles will get a PM.
The game will then proceed to a Night deadline.
The game is divided into two periods - "night" and "day". For practical reasons these two periods take place at the same time, from one update till the next.
Each day, all players gather and decide to lynch one of the players - the person they think is most likely to be a werewolf. Each night, the werewolves decide who to kill and the Seer decides who he will scan to reveal their role. In each 24 hour period, the village will lynch, and the werewolves will hunt and the Seer will scan. The villagers can try to lynch multiple people by creating a glorious, Lemeard-approved, TIE, and the werewolves can decide not to hunt anyone at all at night. Beware of Crovaxian slips, Mr. Gs, and the game getting completely YUBAR'd as well!
Winning:
The werewolves win if they manage to reach parity with the villagers.
The villagers and seer win if they manage to kill all the werewolves.
Play Roles:
12x Innocent Villagers: The innocent members of the Eldersbry community.
4x White Werewolves: Shape-changing creatures of myth, they have hidden among the villagers of Eldersbry for decades, their curse being passed down through the generations. They are desperate to escape the village with their lives and continue their hunt for a cure, even if it means slaughtering every one of the townspeople. The Clan will hunt down and kill one person every night.
1x Retired Monster Hunter (Seer): Once a hunter of creatures of myth and evil, they have now retired to what they thought would be a quiet and sheltered life in Eldersbry. With the Werewolf threat revealed, they hope to use their rusty skills to aid the villagers in tracking down and destroying the infestation. May stalk one member of the village per night to discover whether they are a villager or a wolf.
Players are encouraged to submit a roleplaying character. Names are advised to be based off your forum nickname, e.g; Joebthegreat could be "Job" or Vainglory could be "Vain". A role in the village would also be nice, but if you don't I'll assign you one myself. "The village drunk" or "the strange woodsman" for example.
