Capt. Kiwi has already put it to bed, basically, but just for anyone who isn't sure until they see my ruling, "Kinge" is a valid vote.
I'm not a concise person, so prepare to be bored with my overthinking on this matter. As Kiwi's quote indicates, my belief is that clear intent is all that matters. Naturally I accept diminutives of names, eg Tai for Taiisatai64, and nobody would quibble about typos, which with some of the names here, like Trinitrotoluen, aren't hard to make. As stated previously, I accept RP names, and obviously something like "vote Vainwolf" is acceptable too, since the suffix of wolf doesn't obscure the intent. An unusual diminutive, eg Kinge where most abbreviate to King, is fine as long as it doesn't threaten to obscure intent. Shortening Kingepyon to King if there was, say, a player named King Herod then it would be a problem, unless the post itself strongly indicated intent. In the case of Kiwi's quote, THE_SPLIT could only have been unvoting one person. If he'd been voting for Ciryandor in that case, and had typed cytri, with no explanation in the post, I'd probably have accepted it since "t" is next to "r" and clearly he's buggered it in his haste, which is understandable. There was no one else on the roster remotely near to "Cytri" and Ciry was an obvious vote at the time. So as long as intent is clear I'll take it, but if intent gets unclear I will have to dismiss it. Obviously it's preferable if you at least spell the diminutive right, though!
