E_L got a lot of votes without any real competitor.

Vote Snoopdogg

It's odd that when snoop (or boris for the earlier votes) gets suggested as a candidate, the other candidate (E_L) gets piled on.

I am very tired right now and do not expect to awake before deadline when I go to bed. Can I have a summary or something? Is there a strong case against anyone or are we fumbling in the dark?

it all looks like fumbling to me.

it all looks like fumbling to me.

Pretty much.

I've gone for snoopdogg on tenuous grounds, although I have made a case. EL is getting run up because he was run up yesterday, pretty much. The most interesting thing is how fast he jumped ahead.

IT WAS HEEM ! IT WAS HEEM ALL ALONG !

He did it ! He won ! He's a genius !

Thanks. I knew I could count on you.

Seems so indeed. I am tempted to vote you for your seeming unwillingness to give reasons for your vote until it is dragged out of you, but it would be pointless as the count is unlikely to change much during the night.
Hmm, snoop's at 4 and E_L's at 5. I cannot with good conscience make a tie that I wouldn't be able to break myself. I do know that snoop generally has good instincts though, and he is going for E_L.

And I need to sleep. I will just vote he whom I consider most suspicious at a glance.

Vote Yakman

wait.. I love Dangermouse and.....

....???....

this isn't right?

What happened to the mouse and Baron Greenback?

oh yeah, about the game. I had the same thoughts as the others about the speed of EL being run up. Snoop got added to the list fast also. I am content to stay where I am. I would suggest that the seer scan the other one for the "switch at last minute to break the tie" ploy that has been used before.

no ties!

unvote lost
vote Snoopdogg

see... I did that last night before I went to bed and then there was this HUGE flurry of votes and I realized today I could have easily left my vote where it was because some players have diarrhea of the fingers and switched votes a bunch so then I decided to not do that again because while I sleep, others come along and vote but you didn't realize that fact because you just changed your vote with several hours still to go and players will do something dumb between now and deadline and switch votes a bunch more making your "no ties" claim as irrelevant as mine was last night when I didn't realize what I realize now.

Day/Night 2

The fiasco of the attempt at imposing martial law on St Peters Port had left the Imperials reeling. Morale among the military had been shattered by the gruesome death of the senior officer in the region, immolated before the very eyes of his own men. Although they had escaped the anarchic events of the day unscathed, the constabulary was even lower in spirits: the brazen display of Chaos activity outside their own headquarters, and the attacks on military units more heavily armed than they, had created a siege mentality. The constabulary withdrew into its stations and set guards at all entrances, hunkering behind portable barriers. Their excuse was that the Emperor's Laws had been violated, and it was up to the Arbites to sort it out. The Arbites were, however, bogged down in the even more disorderly Spencer. The local PDF, now under the command of Major Madsen, were determined not to be found wanting by the Emperor, or so they said, and they burned to avenge their Colonel - but nonetheless their lockdown of St Peters Port proceeded at a glacial pace.

The far more dynamic Imperial Guard, headed by a proven cadre of officers and composed of battle-tempered men, moved much faster. Their first order of business was to sweep the areas where squads had been ambushed, searching for survivors, prisoners, and culprits. Captain Viktor Wulf, an enterprising officer, efficiently led several sweeps before noon. None had yielded anything of particular interest: gangers defending their territory, and no obvious Chaos connection. But the hapless squad that had been entirely wiped out yielded something interesting. The unit had been cut to pieces while checking a habblock that was reported for suspicious activity; odd noises, disappearances in the vicinity, a strange smell... cut to pieces was just the right word, Wulf realized, as he turned through the offal. The squad hadn't been shot at, they'd been overcome apparently instantaneously by a furious melee attack.

Wulf called for reinforcements before storming the habblock, breaking inside to find something he'd never expected. The block's interior resembled a particularly disgusting insect hive - if insects were the size of men, and ate people. Even the Guardsmen, experienced as they were in urban warfare, indeed most forms of infantry encounters, weren't prepared for what hit them. Shrieking, gurgling, stinking swarms of men-monsters. Some were mostly human, with an odd claw or compound eye. Others were entirely alien. The fight to take the habblock was brief, bloody, and intense. Wulf's men only overcame resistance in the end by using an unusual amount of grenades and calling up flamers to burn the monsters out.

Although destroying a nascent Genestealer cult was an event to be celebrated, it was a pyrrhic victory for the Imperials. It had cost them many lives, and brought them no closer to fixing the real problem, the Chaos cult. Worse, Wulf had attracted attention to himself. For Viktor Wulf was more than a mere Guard Captain. He was, in fact, an undercover Arbite, the Guard identity giving him a good cover to travel about the Imperium. With the Precinct-House emptied to deal with what was now being called the Spencer Revolt, Wulf was the last best hope for the Imperials to uncover and destroy the Chaos cult... until the cult murdered him. Watching the sweeps with keen interest, the heroic Wulf took their fancy as a potential threat and worthy sacrifice to the Dark Gods. For all his long years of combat experience and detective work, Wulf didn't expect to be snatched from his temporary command post the moment the sun went down. Wulf, valiant, intelligent Wulf, never fired a shot, although his shatted knife and a large quantity of blood indicated that he'd put up some resistance. Unlike the other sacrifices, Wulf's body was never found - just his desecrated Adeptus Arbites badge, mailed to his commanding officer in an envelope glued shut with Wulf's own blood.

Snoopdogg the loyal Imperial citizen was killed by the people of St Peters Port.
Capt. Kiwi the undercover Adeptus Arbite was murdered by the chaos cultists.
