I tweaked the Western buildings a bit. Increased the color saturation (the originals look too monochrome). And I like one of the alternate castles better (there are three versions; I'm using the 01 version). I like the ivy-covered wall!

the mediterrean buildings need some more tweaking IMHO. roofs are too detailled or too shiny : it causes a bad color glitching when moving (color slashes).

aside of this it is perfect !

edit: did you update the dl links ?

I still have not updated it.

For the mediterranean roofs, I will blur them a bit. I had that problem too with the bricks of the Eastern europeans. Also, is the color of the roofs ok? I'm not sure if they should be less red, etc.

@Olaf The Unsure: The cathedral looks better, I think I will also saturate them a bit. Thanks for the suggestion. I think the western buildings could use more variety (mainly the houses) but I don't know what would be realistic for the west.
Though I will still use the second castle. I just want to have each culture with their own castles :)

we firstly need to see if bluring solves the problem. a bit darker could be good too.

New version, see OP.

v.1.5:
-Tweaked Caucasus cultures.(thanks to sirandre for the suggestions)
-Eastern European church now has a cool new copper roof texture handmade by me(shame that specular doesn't quite work as I thought, otherwise it would be shining :-( ).
-Increased western church saturation(thanks to Olaf the Unsure for the suggestion) and made western house roofs more varied.
-Fixed the texture of a eastern european roof.
-Tweaked mediterranean roofs and hopefully fixed that glitching effect on the houses(thanks to Arko for pointing out)
-Version A buildings are slightly smaller-- from 1.5 to 1.3.

Incredible work, Velho e Bom Joe.

Now that you have done this, the next step is creating more sprites for the armies :p

Thanks everyone! :)

So, Today I was working on a byzantine church using the Muslim castle model.

I don't think it is really good, but I was thinking... Do Byzantine emperors create Prince-Bishops? So, It's not really a problem, since it will be rare.
What should be the color of the dome? should the bricks be more "redish"?
I need suggestion on houses though. Should they use bricks? What was the color of the houses in medieval times? There's lots of images of byzantine houses, but they look kinda ruined. I want to know how they were, not how they are.

Also, I'm thinking to work in the Islamic cities. I was thinking to make 3 gfx, Moorish, Persian and "General" Arab(perhaps a Turkish?) Apparently moorish houses look like the mediterranean ones (That is, white-ish walls, etc). Need someone to comfirm this. Taking a quick look at the Persian/Iranian architecture, They have lots of Blue-colored domes and minarets. I would love to make them like that, but it seems that it was something that began only in the 1400s-1500s. But it would look so beautiful and nice. Currently, Muslim cities are so boring, there's only one colour. Some colour would make them more majestic, and from what I know there was lot of colour in Muslim cities, at least in great buildings(which is what I want to modify)

PS: Any modder here know how shields, weapons, helmets.... are attached to the soldiers? How a shield is defined to go to the left hand bone, etc?

Looks interesting but a little to "clean" methinks; otherwise nice work. I'm really looking forward to seeing this project completed.

By clean you mean, it's too white-ish or it needs more details?
I'm interested in knowing if I can attach buildings to the soldiers models. this way, I could create a soldier with a size of 0.1 and attach two buildings in each "hand", and hope that they combine nicely. I modded Victoria II (I'm m68135 brother, I modded the soldier textures in the random world mod) and there was an "attach" function. I attempted to do that in CK2 but it didn't work. I found no attach function in CK2 soldiers.

Clean as in the building looks to crisp and mono-colored. It should look worn and weathered if that makes sense to you.

Thank you!
Oh, Just noticed this now. Thanks, I forgot to include them, yeah. Corrected it.

Cool.

roofs' colors are still problematic, even if it is a lot better. some walls too. especially castles' ivy-covered walls.

keep up the good work !
