So are they(ship wake) going to be added later. Should have come with the game in the first place. In the demo there's no ship wake at all.

None in the full game either.

But tbh, meh, it's only an immersion-breaker if your main priority is watching ships sail, instead of blowing them up ;)

But that's my priority watching my ships negotiating the ocean

The ships are [surprisingly] gorgeous, the underwater view of submarine is [surprisngly] not less than stunning but why there is no ship wake? It made the ships look like they just float instead sailing. . . . I mean come on they are not bathtub rubber ducky, they have propeller(s)

We wanted wake, but we could not make wake that looks good without using an excessive amount of money and/or CPU cycles. Sorry about that.

Aaah, is there even a slightest chance to add even the simplest form of wake? If it is ugly to some people it could be made optional in graphics setting. I'm not the kind of person who put too much emphasis on graphics but ship wake in naval game is kind of ... almost non negotiable. Even a basic one would be better in my personal preference than none at all. Just a strip of white following the ship for some distance. :p

Big reveal: they are actually camouflaged rubber duckys.

I knew it! xD

Believe me, a simple one is more of an immersion breaker than none at all. It has to look half decent before we put it in. We'll see.

Crossing my fingers.....sacrificing the python, drinking the blood and casting my spell on all Turbo Tape developers tonight. I just need to find the magic wand which I seem to have misplaced. :p

Oh well it's almost certain Im going to buy the game. Modern naval game is extremely rare and Naval War Arctic circle is worth it in my book only wishing it came with much more even if I had to pay double or triple the price..

Don't have problems with the graphics, I think they look great. Mind you I think BFTB graphics look ok. Graphics play no part in the mechanics of the game so there just fine to me. Immersion comes with this game when some dirt bag shoots a couple of torps at my sub and then gotta start making decisions; do I turn and run, maybe dive below the thermal layer, run silent, bugger its only 300 metres off my starboard side, oh no where all gunna die. Right this moment wake and pretty graphics are the least of my problems.

Oh the graphics are great to me too, just wishing if there was/will be ship wake :p

I agree that a wake is quite important for a game about naval combat. I cant judge how fast they are going or whether they are moving at all without one. I have to keep referring to the speed dial to check.

Surely a bit of transparent 3d plane attached to each ship showing some animated white water or perhaps using particle effects? I am not too bothered if it just appears once a ship starts moving rather than gradually grows in length. But its length /size should reflect the speed /size of the ship.

I am one person for whom the 3d is quite important. Not as important as the game-play, but I do like watching the 3d action a lot in this game. Any enhancements would be appreciated. I wouldn't have bought the game if there was no 3d that's for sure. You have made a lot of work for yourself in doing 3d visual elements but hopefully it will be rewarded with more sales than a map only game would have achieved.

But its length /size should reflect the speed /size of the ship.

I wasn't expecting that much just simply a wake it doesn't have to reflect the speed nor even size ...just any wake :p

I think the boxed game comes with some cardboard cutout wakes, that you can blutac to your screen to help the imagination. I'll take some photos when I get my physical copy soon after the 20th :)

I tell you what, I liked the inclusion of civilian airliners in this game. And civilian airfields. Now, I wonder if there is a way for the devs to create a truly dynamic campaign system...with all airbases on and the two fleets fighting it out. Perhaps ending at each 12hr period to 'reassess' the days combat and losses with a fluid dynamic front line. Limited assets, more units if you are winning and have done well in that time-frame?

No. But I shall buy this title on Friday. :)
