It was justified, and necessary.
Given that I ended up not touching any computers other than to update my character sheet (yes, phones included) for 5 days, it's a good thing.

( Also, in a completely unrelated topic, having your wizard sit on top of a giant magically propelled rocket obelisk in a frantic last-ditch suicidal attempt to stop it from nuking the artificial sun hovering over the city of light is a lot of fun. Even if it did explode in mid-air causing him to rain down to the ground in many tiny charred / burning pieces...(*) )

*) The adventure in question was called "True Blue"; Adventure code ELTU3-6, listed here. Download link.

Since my wizard was pounded into dust by 2 random Earth Elementals yesterday, I'll let you off the hook - Just this time!

Good thing that I had a pleasant Cleric along to "undust" me... :D

A case study that losers who play one type of (anti-)social game are likely to play more of them ;)

And now I will shut up before someone will find out about my rogue character

It is the number of the post so you can better follow the voting order or read specific comment given with the vote. At least I think so :)

From the town chronicle written by venerable Lothar Telemann

This day will be remembered for many generations to come. Until now we bravely faced many attacks led by beastmen from the woods, but today we must learn to face a new enemy. The rumors about dark cult hiding in the town were proven right.

It was just before dawn when a town ratcatcher went down into sewers. Rats were becomming more and more of a problem and town council wanted to something about it, but before he could lay the very first trap, he made a shocking discovery. There was a body floating in the filthy water. When the last two remainig town guards that did not leave us to join the Imparial Army came and fished it out, I had the misfortune to be the one assigned to inspect it.

It was a male body. I couldn't say much more. The poor guy had his face smashed with some hard object and swirly runes were carved in his skin. The most horrfying discovery came, when I looked carefully on his back. There was a familiar symbol right between the shoulder blades. Sign of the Chaos god Slaanesh. If we have to deal with his followers, I fear what other mutilated people we will find. Slaanesh doesn't like it when his victims die easily.

Town council was called immidiately upon my return and thorough investigation was made. Finally we found out which citizen was missing. The old loner and drunk of bad reputation Suirantes. That explained why nobody missed him so far. It was decided, that the town council should start the investigation right away and round up possible suspects. Only one thing was sure. Running was not an option, because the beastmen would overrun any caravan without protection in a matter of minutes...

Suirantes the townsman (villager) is hunted
