Maybe your character has very low stats and his liege has a negative opinion of him?
Idea guys Idea, this borrowing byzantine court life but here it goes, ever on had rank in court, and that rank depend depend on there title what offices they hold. again in byzantine title more the just cenmorial, gave salary tax break penstion, or of course the offices and nice salary and power.
So I was wonder would the court give character befits or modifier maybe even decision to show more weight. Other feature that pretty cool to once have a court rank you couple pend to emperor for title or offices of offical steward of the said lands you control?
Sorry, this idea is already included in MIH in the last year. If you get a rank at the Imperial court, you will also see events assigning you a relevant title.![]()
Guess I asking the court rank and title have own events related to them or you could make decisions with being formal invest auditory by the emperor? Let your judge or general of imperial west wing you can call men from the capitol?
the ranks and titles were only honorable function for daimyo. By now i won't add special events for them, but maybe later.![]()
The initiation of samurai is different from European knight, since samurai is not a rank defined by law, but an abstract social status before the Edo period. There could be some events during the childhood in game, though (I have no time to add them, yet). You guys now how knight first got become page at young age then squire and eventful they get knighted, what process for the samurai?

What type of books are you looking for, Joel? General samurai history or are you wanting something on a specific subject?
For now, here's an article one of my colleagues over at the Samurai Archives wrote that examined what exactly a samurai was (historically speaking).
