I said I was liberal, not that I was left; Liberal is much more right in Europe than in the US. A more neutral description would probably be centrist.

Sorry, I have becomed used to automaticly think in how to translate Danish terms to US terms(and you are completly right, US and Europe terms arn't really compareable, which sometimes leads to some very confusing arguments) when Im writeing in English.
In that case we probably aint that far apart;)

@Asamul

i just needed some time to recognize there weren't any succession laws :) The only thing left ist the choise between agnatic or corgnatic, but not between elective, gavelkind, primogeniture and so on; so i sadly have to go back to vanilla/CK2+ map. But nevertheless thanks for your time and help!

sorry to hear that, but its hardly surpriesing that there would be issues when running thoes two mods together. That there wasn't other things wrong, is actually more strange .

Me again :p on the topic of running several mods, i am using this fantastic mod as the base - the 'cannot be changed' mod :p

On top of that, i wished to run friends & foes (works beautifully) Arko's CoA (duh, works perfect with 2.3), Culturally different cities (also works well when you use the BLC compatible version so as to not affect the cultures file, it also wants to override static.txt? i just deleted that in favour of yours). However, with Better Looking Characters 8C there is a conflict with several core files so unfortunately i couldn't run that without some serious text editing :( which i may attempt tomorrow. Technology Spread Overhaul requires minimal editing (again, will attempt tomorrow), and the climate mod hurt to even think about haha

Just letting you know what is and isn't 100% compatible with my own experiences so far :)

Thank you its nice to get help with finding out what dose and dosen't work, I think I will make a propper list in the first post and will include what you said and thoes mods Ahog listed earlier.

btw just had a look on the cultural different cities(spending so much time on modding, means pretty much no time to check other mods out, or play the game...) and I think you should try useing his static file instead:p, mine is vanilla. I need most of the files in the map folder so I just copied it whole(other mapmods won't be compatible anyway), the only change in his static file as far as I can see is that he allowed the Dome of Rock to appear...

Well hello there see this looks more up my ally. this seems to be quite a project I read in "Illustreret Historie" that the Albinians are the only original culture in the Balkans all the rest has moved there after the fall of Rome. Just a little note as I saw you had included Albanian culture. On Another note in Wales the few times it was actually under one Ruler the holder was called Prince of Wales(hence the Crown prince of England has that title) and the rulers over smaller kingdoms such as Powys, Dyfed and so on were called kings. Again just a note.
Does this mod allow you to play as Pagan and has all the regions in Denmark succumbed to Christianity in 1066. I am not sure they would have since the change in religion is so recent but if they have its ok by me. I would just love to play as a pagan Asetroende and reinstall Norse religion to see if Denmark could survive in game terms as a non Christian Nation.

Hello:D Im glad you think it has some merrit.(you should try it with Arkos COA pack, it also adds 10 dynastic COA to the great Danish families giveing much better imersion to a Danish setting:cool:)

. I read that to somewhere, but thinking of it Im not shure its totally correct(depends on how you seperate cultures....) if you seperate early Montenegrians(not a lot different culture wise from the Albanians) and early Dalmatians from Croatians, Albanian and Serbs they would probably also count as orginal.

wasn't he usually called king of the Britions? must admit I have some pretty big gabs in my knowledge of Welsh history.... Okay looked it up seems you were right, but I should probably add the Welsh form of the title.

afraid not, but there should be an easy worrkaround if I remember correctly will see if I can find. However playing as pagan won't really have that much flavour as all the current game mechanaincs is designed to Christian rulers(and muslim after patch 1.06) . About the historic part, by 1066 every bid of Denmark should be predominatly Christian, same goes for Norway, Swealand(not counting the northen part of uppland) and Götalandene(leaving a little pagan cut off colony in Småland, that I actually could add).

Playing as a pagan has its lows I admit. It would be nice if the religion part had some pagan counterpart. I found some mods that has done the Mercenary part of the pagans but really miss the religion part. There is a great book I read while studying in Wales called "The Princes of Wales" it was quite cheap if you are interested in expanding the welsh part of this mod. There you could also find names for the people of that region, Gwynedd for instance had close ties to Dublin and the king of Norway (they used Norse troops and actually was the powerbase in Wales at game start in 1066). Owain is was a name for several of the Princes as I remember it:p well good luck with this mod when you come up with a good solution to the pagans I'll certainly try it out.

that was fast ! congrats !

Not really that fast im afraid(at least not as fast as it could have been), the intial merging went way faster than I had expected(I had already gotten quite a bit of practice of merging provinces and their files:p). I actually manged to get the new stuff and other related changes up and running in around an hour, but then I stupidly decided to add the the new replcament kingdoms for Kazaria and the Persian empire while I was at it, and that of course endded up screwing the COA's up and I supseqeuently wasted 5 hours of my life trying to figure out what COA PI had fiddled with:glare:, in the end I just gave up and started over but without the new Kazaria kingdoms(the Volgar Bulgar was actualy a pretty good idea).

wow you've been busy today (or is it yesterday;)). :) Thank you!

you are most welcome:p, Im afraid I haven't included the new HRE stuff yet(Magdeburg etc.) but I decided it was better just to get a compatible version out. I hope to have Scandinavia and the last few tweaks to the HRE finished in 4-5 days.

nice maps!, will start to rework the area after the next update(probably the weekend), can you help me with barronies when it becomes time for that?(getting the propper barronies is the most time consumeing part of adding/reworking provinces)

Alternatively (would be a kind of promotion) treat Liege like for instance Basel and divide the other counties between bordering feudal duchies, for instance Namur to Hainaut or alternatively Brabant and Loon to Limburg.

I'll update this post, and the vanilla baronies are in there to give a comparison just so that I don't make any mistakes.

Something I noticed in the latest version (and before:blush: but forgot to mention) the duchy ''archbishopric'' of Liege (Luik/Lüttich) apears a bit weird on the map as duchy of d_liege, so I guess something is missing in localisation files.

I ported the localisations from the lowland mods file in 2.3(had kept it as it own, previously but at this point I had edited the area so heavily that I risked making dual localisations) and apparently forgot to add Leige when I moved the files(Its best to keep that duchy as it is since Liege was the only one that actually vassalied the other counites). I also just noticed that the barrony in Riga that Nuril mentioned, is still lacking a localisation. Will put a fix out in an hour.
