Airborne Assult-Territory goes to my allies?

I'm playing Iron Cross Arma 1.02 '38 Scenario as GER its Dec '39. I've taken Poland, Demark, Holland, Belgium and I've kicked the French out of their country into North Africa. I have my airborne div's in Kassel with Model II transport Junkers. I am planning a combined airborne/amphibious assault of Tunis to finish off the French. I'm starting with the little island off of the Italian coast at Bastia.

The problem is when I launch my attack from Kassel in Germany I fly over Italy to get to Bastia, I am allied with Italy and the grant me military access, when I land my paratroopers the territory goes to Italy. I'm assuming this is because the last territory I crossed over before landing on enemy territory in North Africa was the Italian east coast.

What is the point of military access? It seems to me if Italy didn't grant me access then my transport planes would fly around the west side of Switzerland to North Africa. Instead of over the Italian east coast and then the territory would go to me since the last territory they crossed was around Toulon which I took from the French.

Am I missing something here? It's pretty frustrating launching an airborne assault from my country an my allies get the territory just because I flew over their airspace. :angry:

I figured it out I guess. The territories that I was airborne assaulting were provinces that my allies have territorial claims on. I still am not sure if I do an airborne assault with my paratroopers from my ally’s territory into unclaimed enemy provinces who gets that territory? Me or them?

Look out French North Africa, here I come! Hopefully I've got the French wraped up by Jan '40. Then its onto the Suez Canal then the Middle East!

Well, I never encounter any shortage of any kind in IC.
I've seen AI Germany running out of manpower,
and some other countries having critical shortages in materials which hinders their effective IC.
But I'm almost always oversupplied.
OK perhaps not when playing as ComChi.
What could be done about that?
