clock bug?

I'm in the year 1954 now and I noticed that lately there is no more improvement when I set the speed from normal to fastest... But if I set it from normal to slow or very slow it works properly.
So normal and fastest have the same speed but even if the game slows down, it should go faster on "fastest" or am I wrong?

The game speed settings push the engine to faster speeds but game speed will still be limited by system performance. This would simply appear to be a case where the game cannot run any faster than what "normal" is set for based on your system capabilities.

But it's nearly unplayable, what can I do to improve the speed, my computer should really be good enough for it..

Besides that it seems to work fine maybe 1 minute long after I loaded my savegame but then suddenly the speed sets down to normal speed. The problem now is that a day takes more than 1 minute which is really long....
I have a high-end pc so I don't get why I have this problem because even BF3 is running smoothly on my pc, also on the highest setting.
