1. Is the maximum number of artifacts that can be in storage (not equipped by heroes) at a time, six? I notice that when I try to pick up a seventh artifact by looting, the game often just dupes my sixth artifact instead of picking up the new one. If I continue trying to pick up artifacts after I'm holding "six", then no more artifacts appear in storage even though the game reports that I picked one up. Where in the documentation or interface does the maximum safe number of artifacts for storage appear? I'm not sure if I'm experiencing an unusual problem, or if this is the rule.

2. Enemies frequently move onto the tiles of my forts and magic towers. This activates their City Defender bonus if they have it, and forces me to deal damage to my own fort or magic tower if I want to hurt the enemy standing on it. I have not been able to find a way to do either of the following to an enemy fort or magic tower, myself:
  • Order one of my units to pass through the tile it occupies
  • Stand one of my units in the tile it occupies
Could someone please explain how to do these two basic operations? Abusing the enemy's forts like they abuse mine, seems critical to playing the game properly.

3. How do I display the spells that wizards at war with me are casting on the main interface screen? (Without delving into the diplomacy screen every turn to check whether it's something I need to counterspell)

4. What are the shortcut keys for the Defend and Sentry orders (for units)? Also, what is the shortcut key to address the next alert?

5. How do I display the terrain cost of tiles? I'm concerned about the costs in enemy territory.

6. How can I see the exact number of turns left on the spell an enemy is currently casting?

7. How do I view the amount of gold, food, and mana an enemy possesses? They know this information about me.

8. Why do enemies frequently declare war on me for a couple turns, then pay me for peace, then repeat? Is there some way to anticipate their actions or reasoning? I have not made sense of it.

9. Why doesn't my Water Walking spell work on my Wolves of Helia unit?

Thanks for your help!

In answer to No. 9, wolves of helia cannot be perked by spells for some reason, not sure if it is a bug or not
Yeah, I'm aware the Wolves of Helia have a buff that makes them immune to "Elemental Spells". But I looked in my spellbook and Water Walking is classified under arcane spells. And, the delve for Water Walking doesn't say anything about "elemental".

Regarding number #1, I think there are only 6 slots for artifact storage, but try converting one in storage into mana. Then the 7th artifact should show up in one of the storage slots. I have never had to do this, but give it a try.

Wrong. I have had more than 20 artifacts in storage. On the lords HUD, either side of the artifacts display are 2 arrows that may be clicked on to scroll through your current unequipped goodies. Note also that if the arrow is gold there are more items in that direction and if it's silver you have reached the end of your inventory as it's not cyclical.

2. This is a current known bug. Hope for a fix in the next patch.

3. You can't. You have to keep checking each turn.

5. You can't.

6. As with your own casting display, the grey ring around the spell will give you an idea. Also if your checking each turn, you'll have a better idea.

7. Use the diplomacy screen to "demand" from them and change the default value by clicking in the box. It will not allow you to demand more than the enemy has. Then you can exit without sending the demand.
