South Africa.jpg

Hello, everyone. This game will be based on the fictional African country of South Nambabwe, in this game the Europeans are leaving Africa and created a nation out of the nations now known as South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe,Zambia, Angola, Swaziland and Lesotho. The nation just created in 1953, is a mixture of former British and Portuguese colonies, has erupted into a civil war in 1957 after various conflicts and debates. What will happen of this new nation? You will decide!

Rules & Regulations: Everyone role plays as their own made up character, you can choose their background, age, name and so on. You choose what faction in the civil war their going to be in, the factions will be posted shortly. Based on what your faction does, and what happens it will decide what goes on in the civil war. The wining faction forms the government, its policies and can bring bills to vote or maybe just declare laws. I will also list the amount of the population in each faction, and what armies they have. Also, certain nations might back certain factions in the war, so that might also boost up your factions chances of winning. The positions you can be are: the Head(you are the leader of your fraction), the Commander in Chief( the head of the military of your faction), and the Ambassador(the representative of your faction to the world). The rest of the people will be supporters, soldiers, generals, citizens, politicians of your various faction. The Commander in Chief's job will be to coordinate the armies movements which will be PMed to me, the Ambassadors duty will be to try and get various nations on their side, by bribes and deals sent to me via PM. I will respond in the nations point of view. Finally, their are many people who do not have a group they support and if you want your factions support to increase, put out the ideologies and advertisements about your faction and I will update your supports depending on how well it goes by with the people. If I didn't make something clear don't be afraid to ask. SIGN UPS ARE ALWAYS OPEN!

In as stand-up ambassador.

Question, are these Europeans left behind, or South African Natives?

Name is either Halisi Ankara or Stuart Smith.

These are mostly Europeans that have mostly decided to stay in South Africa or got left behind. But their are also South African natives you can choose.

I'll go as a European, easier to roleplay. Stuart Smith please.

Name: Agostinho Roberto, referred to as Comrade General Roberto
Date of Birth: 9th March, 1908, aged 49
Faction: For the People
Occupation: General Secretary of the UMSC(1942-Current) and Leader of For the People Movement(1957-Current)
Bio: Born in 1908, Agostinho had a relatively comfortable early childhood, his father being a clerk for the Portuguese Colonial Administration in their village in Angola. In 1921 his father suffered a heart attack and died, the Colonial Administration left the family only a small sum to live off of, leaving Agostinho resentful of the Colonialists. By 1925 he had earned enough money from odd jobs to pay for some part time education at a local school. At the school he was brought into a growing Youth Marxist Movement and by 1929 he had become a highly prominent member. Throughout the 1930s he continued to climb the ranks of many Socialist and Communist organisations throughout Angola. In 1942, he achieved one of his greatest triumphs when he held a conference that led to the unification of all Socialist and Communist groups and the foundation of the Unidos Movimento para o Socialismo e do Comunismo(UMSC), which he was elected General Secretary of. During the rest of the 40s he organised protests and demonstrations for the 'independance of the colonies from the grasp of the oppressors." When news came in 1953 that the Colonial powers were granting independance to many of the Southern African states and that they were to be unified he was overjoyed, but that was short lived as the UMSC and other parties were always in conflict and no governance actually came, and finally in 1957 that resulted in Civil War. He skillfully manourvered himself to the leadership of the For the People Movement. He also made sure to eliminate any rivals to his leadership during the following months and busied himself with studying Warfare and Tactics, which he discovered he had a great skill for.

Can i be in the Right Way?I will make up a character soon(since it is a parliamentary democracy he has to be of african origins, right?)

I will join as William Campbell of Stand Up Africa. Born in 1910 in Scotland. William joined the Royal Army in 1929 and was stationed in South Africa. He left the Army after WWII at the age of 35 and stayed in South Africa. He became in local politics and is strong advocate of a maintaining ties to the UK and becoming a member of the Commonwealth like Canada and Australia.

Name: Jonathan 'Jonti' Ndodana-Breen
Date of Birth: 27th August, 1911 (46)
Faction: Stand Up Africa
Biography: WIP

RE: Stand Up Africa, is the monarchy in question the actual British one, or could it be a native African one in a government of the British style? Plenty of chiefs and kings and whatnot in the region.

Stand Up follows the British Monarch. Like a Commonwealth nation, a African monarchy with a kinda British style would be Africa Forever.

Is this game dead?

Sadly this game must also come to an end, due to the lack of interest. I will be interested in any forum game ideas PMed to me because I would like to run a forum game. Thank you.
