So every leader is unique and pre-scripted? without any randomly generated as the game progresses?
Doesnt that mean smaller countries will run out of leaders as in HoI?

Wich smaller countries do you think about?

If you take a look to the Great Army books, you will notice 84 nationalities (including 2 Venezuelans Corps generals) represented at the level of divisions commanders ... I am quite sure if P'dox stya stuck to history it will be enought leaders for every country in europe ...

The only case of problem I can foresee being a player releasing unhistorical countries, such as maybe balkans countries, Oural or Caucase countries (and even here the Imperial Russia shall have enought real div leaders to propose), or eventually middle east / northern africa (but the Ottomans Empire will also provide leaders for those I do assume).

The leaders we all know (Ney, Mural, ArchDuke Karl ...) were corresponding to Army group commander or Army commanders; but the various armies roles provide leaders down to the divisional even brigade level (for the general). And most of them we used in various positions for the next 30 years (having fight with or againsts Napoleon or one of his direct right hands).

In HoI3 alot of countries run out leaders really quickly as theyre not really important to the game so never had more than a handful added to them, the same with politicians [which is easier to check if you dont believe it].
So id kinda except that if this game doesn't allow for randomly generated leaders once historical leaders have been used up that the same problem will occur in this game as well.
Surely it wouldnt be that hard for random leaders to be generated the game once its used up all the programed ones? [Spell checker is saying its programmed, but programme is the noun and the verb is program right? so surely its programed as its the having been of program which is the verb, anyway thats really not important anyway]

Point is, wouldnt randomly generated leaders work without cancelling out historical unique leaders for those nations as have enough of them?

If the game could just generate leaders when theres a desperate need for them, then everything would be easier no? You wouldnt lose the unique leaders or anything as first the game would have to run out of them, and youd probably have to spend to get generated ones as with V2 or EU3. But then those nations who arent as important to the devs could have adequate leaders as well and itd be a boon to modding and etc as well.
Surely it wouldnt be hard to have something like that work in the game would it? especially after how many other paradox games do.

I'll say the same thing I said on the hoi3 forum.

For leaders, just pick the coffeemaker guy to gather some pics and names.

For this game it should be even easier, as a minor would not conquer the world.

Great idea! We seriously need to get a coffeemaker guy for the office. :)

I know this may sound imensaly retarded, but can yuo turn generals into rulers , for example yuo release a puppet and yuo can make one of yuo're generals the ruler of that puppet I think this actually happend IRL? (sorry for bad English)

If you just told the game to re-use pics and come up with random names once its run out of leaders then you wouldnt have to pay anyone to do it.
That way minors would have enough leaders to be interesting to play and enough leaders to be interesting to conquer.
Seriously, what would be the downside?
I get its not the biggest issue, but really isnt a tiny solution? A small improvement to the game with only, id guess a smaller addition.

Programmed is the past tense of program the verb. So spellchecker is actually correct in this case. The "m" is doubled when it goes to past tense, similar to referred or pitted.

Ok this subforum really need some spicing up :)

Can we see Napoleon's traits and stats? Or, say, some random good general and a bad general to give us a sense of what a good general looks like and what a bad general looks like?
