Don't tell my wife, but I haven't been spending much time cleaning out the basement.
OPM Manipur declared on me,
followed by 2PM Brazil.
Brazil is a bit of a bother because they exist only in 2 Cuban provinces. I hold the third, but it will require troop transports to fight them.
Peace with Yemen clears more of the Arabian peninsula.
Note that Corsica did not exist in Corsica. Sardinia-Piedmont exists in Corsica. Corsica existed in the north half of Sardinia.
I assaulted the last Liege province. That's the only assault I've made in these wars.
That inspired Song to declare on me. They brought in Lan Xang and Tianwan.
This was a mistake, but I gained 0 WE:
Peace with Castille:
That's a huge chunk of Iberia. They are cleared from Central America and the northern part of South America.
Paraguay declares on me.
Again, a bit of a bother because I don't have enough troops in the area.
Two minor peace deals:
This happened:
The result was:
That's a bit of a problem. I am constantly building troops. Of course a lot of them get wiped out when rebels appear, but I've got the money and manpower to build more.
Peace with Shabankara:
War with Adal and Swahili:
Peace with Alwar and Aragon joins the fun:
Aragon is difficult. They have 2 provinces in NA, 3 in Iberia. Their capitol and largest concentration of provinces is in South Africa. They have over 70,000 troops somewhere. I will siege Iberia and NA while ignoring the rest of their empire.
Louisiana had 2 provinces in NA and 3 in SA.
The peaces I want to make are with Scandinavia and Canada. Canada is completely occupied, but I want to annex Chile and Brabant first. Scandinavia is close, but Norway and Munster must fall first.
Peacing out random minors is my only choice for now.
The rebel situation in Europe has been brought under control for now.
I lost some provinces in Russia, but my armies have arrived. I am preparing to attack the rebels in Constantinople. I was planning on letting them siege away, but I'm afraid that another doomstack will appear there at any moment.
Song and Lan Xang had large armies. There is still fighting going on there. I haven't moved into Adal yet. Sieges every where else.
After I made my last update I noticed some mistakes in the enemy list. I think this one is correct:
SCANDINAVIA (T), Norway, Munster,
OMAN
TREBIZOND (T),
KHIVA, Shaybanid
JALAYIRIDS
DECCAN
BUNDELKHAND, Sind,
CEYLON, Telingana (T)
MULTAN, Baluchistan (T), Durrani, Nagaur, Demak
CANADA (T) Chile, Brabant
NAPLES,
BIHAR, Tripura, Kalpi
Bengal
Egypt
FUNJ, Ethiopia
GALICIA
INJUIDS
THE MAMLUKS
MING, Dahan, Dazhou, Shan
MOREA
MUSCOVY
SARDINIA-Piedmont
BRAZIL
SONG, Lan Xang, Tianwan
ADAL, Swahili
MANIPUR
PARAGUY, Aragon
I think I will change the style of this AAR slightly in the next update. I hope to concentrate more on recording rebel activity in detail rather than just recording big events. So far the rebels are manageable, but their appearance seems to follow an interesting pattern. The event driven rebels seem to occur mainly in Europe and they they seem to appear in spurts.
I do not have the patience or the time to record them in Prawnstar like detail, but I hope to document them more closely than I have.
That's for the next update though. Here is this one:
June 1790 sees a DoW from Dai Viet.
Fang joining is a problem. I'm already out numbered in China and Fang has huge amounts of troops. Mine outclass their's but it still is proving difficult.
The battle of Constantinople:
The rebels are routed in the next battle. Note again the lack of WE for my Germany.
I declare on Chimu,
and make peace with Manipur.
Galicia is annexed.
Peace with Naples and the Cardinals recognize that Germany is uniquely positioned to guide humanity on the path to salvation:
I make peace with several nations over the next few months:
Munster and Brabant are the most important deals here. They bring me closer to the peaces I want to make. Trebizond is significant also. I am now wasting huge amounts of troops on sieges. I need to clear some theaters of enemies.
Unfortunately these level 5 and 6 fortresses don't fall easily and I can't bribe the defenders. My diplomats build more rapidly than I can make peace. I recruit generals at 100% tradition, but eventually have to issue some DoW:
Nepal and Tibet are OPM.
Peace with The Mamluks reduces them to OPM:
It also inspires two new declarations on me:
Morocco and Mali eventually join the Hafsids. I will ignore that war for the most part.
I get a new leader:
New Zealand gets an interesting new ally:
I'm already driving through Swahili. Being at war with Mutapa gives me a land connection with Aragonese South Africa.
Then this happens:
I'm confused. I thought that automatic WP would not happen since I was sieging the only Muscovite province? If automatic WP start popping on other nations I'm merely sieging my strategy will backfire.
The standard list of ongoing wars:
SCANDINAVIA (T), Norway,
OMAN
KHIVA, Shaybanid
BUNDELKHAND, Sind,
CEYLON,
MULTAN, Baluchistan (T), Durrani, Nagaur, Demak
CANADA (T) Chile,
DECCAN (T)
CHIMU (T)
BENGAL
FUNJ (A), Ethiopia
MING (A), Dahan, Dazhou, Shan
MOREA
SARDINIA-PIEDMONT
SONG, Lan Xang, Tianwan
ADAL, Swahili
PARAGUY, Aragon
DAI VIET, Fang
TIBET (T)
NEPAL (T)
NEW ZEALAND, Mutapa
HAFSIDS, Mali, Morocco
BIHAR, Tripura, Kalpi
What follows is only an account of the year 1792. I tried to keep a detailed account of rebel activity, but quickly gave up. Fighting them is not too difficult. Recording when and where they appear is time consuming and makes the game boring. i quickly gave up on recording what province they appeared in and settled on recording the region. The next update will revert back to simply pointing out important events. I am not dedicated enough to keep taking these notes.
At the end of 1791 I made peace with The Jalyrids:
The rebel situation on 1/1/1792 (approximately):
5 stacks in Russia totaling 68,000 rebels
6 stacks in Europe totaling 76,000 rebels
Insignificant amounts elsewhere.
Sikkim declared on me:
Rebel activity in January:
These were all stacks of less than 8.
In February I made peace with Bihar. Their ally Kalpi was also their vassal:
I also annexed Chimu.
2PM England declared on me:
At that point, the serious rebellions began.
Wurxburg produced 9 noble regiments. 9 more popped up in Bitola, 16 in Athens and 17 more somewhere in France.
(This is where I gave up on the detailed account and began just writing down numbers and regions. I'm lazy. I also didn't pause at every pop-up. Typically I waited for the game to pause itself because one of my provinces was being sieged or I waited 3 days after the first pop-up. The following list makes for a very boring AAR, but perhaps it will give an insight to the game situation?)

January 1: 8 in Europe
That year took way too much time. I will now stop taking notes and go back to fighting rebels and enemies, but first let's take a look around the world.
Africa:
I'm encroaching on Aragon. Evidently their armies are split. That helps.
The Australian region:
China and Indochina:
I hope to begin making some peaces here soon.
North America:
If that last Chilean province will ever fall, I will make peace with Canada.
South America:
The truce with Portugal expires in October.
Europe:
All those rebels have nothing to show for their efforts.
I made a WP with The Hafsids. I could have fought them and their allies to victory, but I'm not ready to expand into West Afrcia yet.
Peace with Demak:
This was not a 100 WS peace, but I need to stop some of these wars.
Swahili:
Adal:
I am taking control of East Africa.
Dehli declares on me:
They were followed by Hedjaz and Iraq. Both are OPM. Their declarations merely saved me two diplomats. They also reminded me that my truce with Persia had expired:
I missed the actual DoW pic, but you can see the massive revolts that my declaration inspired. I need to declare on the bigger powers so that I can take advantage of the lower peace costs.
Peace with Lan Xang:
The truce with Portugal expires:
Castille and Great Britain joined, but Castille quickly regretted their decision:
Song peace:
Tianwan:
OPM Armenia declared on me. Again, a saved diplomat.
Ethiopian peace:
This happened again:
Am I confused? Do I have to occupy a territory to keep this from happening? It scares me and convinces me to assault some provinces so I make a real peace before being forced into WP.
This is only the second stab hit I've taken:
Peace with New Zealand, evidently they have another province somewhere:
Finally, peace with Deccan:
Another OPM declares on me:
The truce with Joseon expired on April 2 and I had no diplomats:
A note about rebels: The big stacks driven by event seem to have slacked off. I have an average of 15-20 groups of rebels pop up every month, but these are not huge stacks. It’s a lot of pausing, pointing, and clicking but not a problem for the most part:
That was a cavalry stack I created years ago. No big loss.
Peace with Chile:
The level 6 fort was still years away from falling and I want peace with Canada.
Funj goes away:
Then I was forced into a WP with Sardinia-Piedmont. I’m not sure why this happens. I’m going to try blockading some of these enemies to see if that helps.
Peace with Aragon:
I could have held out for more, but that’s enough for now.
I took it all from Paraguay:
Persia is a shell of its former self:
The Knights declare on me:
Trinacria joining doesn’t thrill me as they are spread out, including some isolated inland provinces in Africa but I’ll take what I can. Naples joins this war 2 months later. They have some provinces I need.
Sardinia joins the fun,
And I make peace with Norway:
January of 1795 and two OPM go away:
I put a serious hurting on Scandinavia:
Dehli is one war away from destruction
Castille:
They held the southernmost SA province and what you see here.
Three countries are annexed:
One is reduced to OPM status:
Finally I make peace with Portugal:
They have a few islands left and two or three West African provinces. South America is cleared except for Chile and the one Castillian province. There is one Scandinavian province in North America plus the Neapolitan and Trinacrian provinces I currently occupying.
BB has gone over 1000.
Inflation was mdriven to 6% by event.
Stab is at +1 and rising slowly.
The wars:
BUNDELKHAND, Sind,
CEYLON,
MULTAN, Durrani, Nagaur,
MING (A), Shan
SARDINIA
DAI VIET, Fang
ARMENIA
IRAQ
ROHILKHAND
TAUNGU, Ayutthaya, Joseon, Lan Xang
KNIGHTS, Trinacria, Naples
I am cutting this number down. I am even assaulting some of the hold out forts. I need a few free stacks for the invasions of Japan and West Africa.
I forgot to take their province in southern Australia.
Peace with Durrani:
I'm trying to end these Indian wars in preparation for the next round:
This was humorous:
As was this:
I have over 1100 BB, but still got a BD.
Two peaces at once:
I have to declare on these little island states eventually:
This was the last holdout from the original round of wars:
In October, 1796 I decided to keep track of the revolts again since they seemed to be getting worse. I also declared on The Mamluks:
That inspired 16 separate revolts. Most were 2 or 4 regiment armies, but there were a few 6 regiment ones. Outside of Europe most of my rebel fighting stacks are 16 strong. Destroying these small stacks is not difficult. but 16 stacks means a lot of space bar hitting and mouse clicking.
A week later a 7 regiment stack appeared somewhere and 63,000 peasants took up arms in Constantinople.
The normal middle of the month rebel party resulted in another 18 revolts: a few 7 strong, one 10 strong, one 12 strong. Toward the end of the month 16,000 rebelled in Slesvig and Khawarzam. I also lost a badly organized stack in Finistere:
I meant to declare on them first. It seems like only the nations that declare on me qualify for automatic WP. Iraq got that deal later.
This was a horrible event:
The other option was a permanent 25 percent reduction in overseas income. I'm already bleeding ducats. Maybe I should have taken it anyway. Stability is now at zero and building slowly. I'm waiting for lots of cores to kick in.
I declared on Bihar:
Their allies did not join.
Another peace with Lan Xang:
And one with Naples:
The Lan Xang peace gave me a border with Kelentan:
The island nation of Minahasa joined them.
Another OPM goes away:
And the peasant horde is defeated:
This is a good thing because the rebel situation in Europe is getting out of hand. I need these troops.
Peace with Joseon:
I have room for one more image so here is the situation in Europe:
78,000 rebels in Northern Italy. 137,000 elsewhere in Europe. A 45,000 peasant army in Kiev. 30,000 peasants next door in Podolia. 10,000 each in Kalisz and Ratibor. I am stretched way too thin.
I'm thankful to still be plugging along. Rebels everywhere. They are getting more numerous all the time. They occasionally occupy a province or two, but I'm still able to maintain order. They do seem to come in waves by region.
This happened yet again:
It seems as though the Oirat Horde is not going to declare war on me:
Dai Viet Dai Sapears:
Mistake:
Bad mistake really. I can't afford to lose troops since it's impossible to build a well formed stack. Some of them are always destroyed by rebels.
I was surprised by this:
I mean really? Overextended? Me?
I finally gave up on annexing Shan so that I could make peace with Ming.
I'm at war with Joseon and Lan Xang again and preparing for war with everyone else in China.
Might as well take Madagascar:
Naples did join. They are doomed.
A round of British cores came in:
This time I will fight.
Oirat no more:
Demak attacks:
Swahili declares so I am now at war with almost all of Africa. I will WP Morocco soon just to cut the enemy list down a bit.
A couple of peaces help too.
Can't let the list get too short though.
I finally won one of these wars!:
The truce with Deccan expired.
An I finally massed enough troops on the Pacific to try something new:
So, just to show once again what an idiot I am, I prepared the following update before seeing this comment. It features a January 1, 1800 look around the world, but it never occurred to me to create the whole world image. More than that though, I've been wondering for a while whether or not the remaining TI was hiding some undiscovered OPM. D'oh! World map shows that isn't the case. Thanks DE. Your map follows.
In this update my Germany moves into the 19th century. That will prompt a look around the word and inside the Republic, but a few things happened before then.
Sardinia-Piedmont, Ethiopia, and Chile all declared war on me. SP is a nuisance because I assume I'll be forced into a WP. Ethiopia is easily defeated.
Peace with Lan Xang:
In five years I hope to declare on them so I can take more land in the peace deal.
I annexed The Mamluks and Adal. Then I fought a little battle in Japan:
That pretty well ended their hopes of survival. As I understand it, in D&T once I control all provinces a national decision will appear allowing me to dissolve the Shogunate. It will take a long time for these sieges to succeed. I hope I'm not auto white peaked out of this war.
Peace with Joseon:
Mali:
I could have held out for more, but this is enough for now.
Persia declared on me. That area is the hotbed of rebellion right now, but I should still be able to beat them easily. Armenia auto-peaced me. Frustrating.
In late December 1799:
I immediately annexed Kelentan and waited for the new year.
Let's look around.
The World:
It looks like I discovered everything so I'll take a NI soon.
North America:
There is one Scandinavian province left here. 8 rebel armies of 4 or less. I have been moving troops from here and South America to Africa and Europe.
South America:
One of Chile's provinces revolted away to Castille at some point. Castille also owns the southern most province. Naples owns The Falklands, but I am occupying it. If I can annex Chile before it auto-peaces me, this continent should be completely grey soon. 8 small rebel armies
Africa:
A lot more to do here, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I hope to take all Portugese provinces in the next war with them. Somehow I am allied with Aragon?
Europe and surrounding regions:
A 34,000 stack in Provence, a 16,000 and a 5,000 around the Pyrennes. Two stacks totaling 34,000 in what used to be Brittany. A smattering of smaller stacks elsewhere.
It's interesting to me that The Papal States is content to sit on the sidelines while I rampage across the world. Their time will come.
India:
I am sieging all that is Deccan. Truce with Multan expires in March 1801. 6 rebel armies in the 4-7,000 range. This was recently a hotbed of activity but I have beat them down.
Indochina:
Aragon holds an Australian colony. New Zealand's one province is under siege. The country of Australia holds one province.
China:
A look at Germany:
Inflation has been driven up by event. Stability briefly reached +1, but dropped back to zero.
WE is a problem.
Sliders:
I have an idea slot open, but I'm scared to use it. I'm afraid there is some OPM out there in TI somewhere. I suppose I should just take QFTNW and explore to make sure. There's really not another idea that would be extremely helpful.
I have a few armies at my disposal:
And I'v fallen back behind in techs:
Some Pies:
And the list of current wars:
TAUNGU,
KNIGHTS,
MUSCOVY
ZIYYANIDS,
NAPLES,
HAFSIDS,
DEMAK, Bima
CRETE
SWAHILI, Hausa,
TIANWAN, Fang, Song, Xian
NEW ZEALAND
DECCAN, Rohilkandh
CHILE
ETHIOPIA
JAPAN etc.
NORWAY
PERSIA
SARDINIA-PIEDMONT
The progress of this game and the frequency of these updates will slow down when I go back to work tomorrow. What follows is one year of EUIII time and a few hours of RL time. This game has become sort of a like a strange form of meditation. I kind of enjoy it. It is a calm peaceful rebel bashing mouse clicking form of serenity.
I took National Bank to help fight the event driven inflation:
One island nation eliminated, one wants to be:
Peace with The Hafsids:
I bet this one ends in a WP:
Another OPM bites the dust:
Scandinavia joins the fun.
This is actually a little difficult. The Scandinavian army isn't too large, but there are several rebels in the area too.
Naples is reduced to 2PM:
New Zealand is reduced to 0PM:
This is interesting:
My stability had just gone up to 2. When it went up I was puzzled because I hadn't expected it to. After this event, I checked and found that I was 14 years away from the next level. For some reason it went back up to 2 the next year and quickly rose to 3 after that. I'm not sure why this is happening. It doesn't seem to be WAD, but since I'm not causing it to happen I can't really do anything about it.
Aragon declares:
Hausa peace:
Castille is big enough to rate a DoW:
I didn't realize how big this rebel stack was when I attacked it:
The game sometimes mirrors real life:
An OPM goes away and a really bad event appears:
That pushed inflation to over 22%. I immediately hired a 6 star MoM. Inflation is being reduced by .31 a year, but I can't handle many more of these events.
Swahili joins the fold:
Castille won a battle,
but they will lose the war. I have another army bearing down on them.
Aragon may be another story:
I should have retreated towards my territory before losing this battle. As it stands my army will probably be wiped out. Moving more troops to South Africa will take time.
Bima is annexed.
OH NO !!!! Not Great Britain!!!! Whatever shall I do?!?
The end of 1800 sees peace with Deccan.
I am preparing for war with Multan.
I am already at war with:
TAUNGU,
MUSCOVY
ZIYYANIDS,
DEMAK,
TIANWAN, Fang, Song, Xian
DECCAN,
CHILE
ETHIOPIA
JAPAN etc.
NORWAY, Scandinavia, Gotland
PERSIA
SARDINIA-PIEDMONT
BENGAL
ARAGON
CASTILLE, Portugal
GREAT BRITAIN
